Solid hinge

I use piano hinges all the time on my chests and storage benches. I like the clean line across the top, as well as most of the hinge being hidden. This hinge appears to be sturdy. No problem with the screws twisting off, though all holes were predrilled into this cherry. I completely assemble and then disassemble, apply finish and then reassemble. So these screws were in and out and back in with no problem. Screws are #2 phillips head.

Good Quality

well made and easy to cut to length and how it looks

I have installed this on a box door and it is excellent and easy to cut to length and install with the included wood screws. The installed appearance is also very attractive.

Hinge is fine - the screws suck.

A piano hinge like this uses a LOT of screws. The ones that come with this are so cheap that the heads on the first two I tried to install broke off as I hand-torqued them down. This was a BIG problem as I had to drill the shafts out of the cabinet and then run to Home Depot and buy a box of slightly larger screws. I eventually got it to work, but a supreme hassle.
