Decent Socks
The socks are great but as others stated, they are not all solid black. Most pairs have color on them on areas of the feet and up the sock as well. So if you are specifically looking for solid black socks, this is not the item for you. The socks do seem to run big. My son wears a shoe size 12-13 and the mediums (9.5-2 shoe size) are a bit big. They will work, but have room to grow into for sure. Although I haven't washed them yet so that could change. As other stated, the calf area is pretty tight and non giving (and my boy is pretty thin) so I am hoping that stretches some after a few wears but again, they seem to work. The bottom of the sock feels thick enough and quality like it will last. The listing is a bit deceiving. The title says 12 pack of socks but when you put the black in your cart, it is really only a 6 pack.

Very durable and comfortable!
These socks last! Even for very busy boys! We love them because they hold up, they’re thick, and they’re comfortable. And I have a picky child who will only wear what he likes. Right now he will only wear socks that are higher on his legs, probably because he wears shorts all year round. They don’t fall down, and don’t leave rings on his legs. I highly recommend these socks for children who like socks that go higher up their legs.

Typical Hanes socks
First of all, the black socks I received are different than the ones pictured. The ones we received have solid black tops on of all of them and have different colors on the foot part. I bought these for my 5-year-old to wear in the winter to keep his legs and feet warm (he mostly wear ankle socks so they weren't cutting it) so the appearance wasn't that important to me. Having bought Hanes socks in the past, I didn't expect them to be super great quality, and they've been on par with my expectations. After a handful of washings, the bottoms have started to freak out a bit and no longer looks super nice, but the leg part still looks fine and no holes or anything so far. For a good price, I would buy these again.

Really soft
They are great socks, they super soft and nice design. My boys love them. One of my sons has wide fit so the fit was a little tight on him, but that is just because he has really wide feet.

Good sock. Beware of colors.
I ordered these socks for my boys who are 9 years old and 13 years old in shoe sizes 5 and 7. Size LARGE fits both of them fine. They are padded on the heel through the toe. I specifically ordered THESE socks because my son required solid black socks for gymnastics but there was no solid black in the socks that arrived. The picture shows the color assortment that arrived. I will keep them because they are good quality socks but not exactly what I was expecting.

Solid issue sock
I have a very picky sock wearer that is fixated on Hanes. He likes these. He says they are a little thicker in the footbed. They do pull up higher than I expected. Almost to his knee. Average height fourth grade boy. Did not get color variety but that was not an issue for us. Foot size is as expected, overall size was longer than expected

Socks came as pictured, 12 pair, 24 socks!
Despite others’ reviews stating they didn’t receive the color or amount stated, I ordered based on the positive comments regarding quality. I was pleasantly surprised I got the exact item as shown! 12 pair just as pictured. These socks are higher quality than the last couple name brand socks I purchased, and look like they will last a long time. As another review stated, they are best for boys with slim legs as they fit snug. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. What a bargain!

Good but snug on the calves.
Great socks, comfy and in serval colors... My only issue was with how tight the upper part of the sock that covers the ankle and calve... They seem to be a bit tight, I had to stretch each one in width to make them fully confer table for my son to wear them. Other than that I would say that these are really great socks and have so far with standed the daily craziness of my 6 year old ! Lol.

Perfect socks. Great padding and easy to put on. My 10-year-old only reaches for these when he gets dressed. His foot is 5-6 youth.
