Fit well
Boiled for a few minutes and it stretched right over the handle. Good fit.

Super cool. Improvement in comfort and swing.
After swinging a bat with a cone under the grip tape I realized I greatly prefer the tapered handle. But I had just spent 18 bucks on new grip tape and it was already installed. I definitely didn’t feel like having to buy new tape again to install a cone, so I found this over the tape option. It works great, improves comfort, and actually helped my swing. I struggled installing it for a minute until I watched a YouTube video on how to install it. After changing to the method in the YouTube video it popped right on. Took maybe 5 seconds of pressure. Soak it in hot soapy water for about a minute, then without drying it, place it on the edge of the bay handle bump, with the bat facing away from you. With both hands pull it towards you until it expands over the bump. Then push it down and voilà! Easy peasy and didn’t damage my brand new grip tape.

Good for what it is, but wasn't right for our player
This taper is very specific - meaning how it fits in the hand and feels for the player. The good news is that it is inexpensive, easy to install and remove (USE HOT WATER TO SOFTEN IT!!), and stays in place once installed. Unfortunately, our player didn't like the finger grooved feel. We've used a number of different bat aids and went with the thumb spacer as the aid he uses the most based on feel. More and more bats are building in flares at the bottom of the grip, however it seems to be a fad thing - some studies say it improves, some say no difference. We're probably splitting hairs. Worth a try to see if your player likes the flared feel.

Didn’t know my kid needed this
I really had no clue what these were or what they did. Bought it on a whim. Helped my kids control the bat better. Cheap investment that goes a long ways.
