Great Value for the money

Great value for the money spent. I like the look and the function a lot. Only knocked it down a star because I think its misleading that they show only the pendant option cord. If you choose the wall plug in option the cord looks like a standard cord not the fabric covered one you see in the advertisement. Otherwise works and looks great!

Misleading Header

Product described as "plug-in" and in the detailed description refers to power source as "corded electric". IN FACT, they are the run-of-the-mill wired fixture requiring a junction box for wiring and mounting. That said, product is beautiful, inexpensive and I will mount them, after I take down the 3 outlet boxes I mounted in the ceiling and rerun the proper wires.

Worked great for what I needed

I bought this to spruce up a very small apartment I have. It was in the price range that I was willing to pay for a rental property. Probably not something I would use in my own house. I bought the corded so there was no need to run electric and I hung it over a kitchen island that was previously a dark area. It looks great. The only negative for me was the switch to turn it on and off is towards the end of the cord. It make sense that they had to put it there but it might not be convenient in some applications. I bought a device that plugs into the outlet and has a remote control (less than $20). That allows you to turn on/off the light with the remote and you don't have to go searching for the end of the cord. This worked great for what I needed.

a very good one. It does what it's supposed to

It's a lamp, a very good one. It does what it's supposed to, looks nice, feels well made, and the cord is long enough that it's pretty versatile. I was able to hang it a decent way into my room, and I wanted to avoid the swag look, pulling the cord taut and close to the walls/ceiling. It came with two hooks and other installation pieces for tying up extra cord I believe (I only used the hooks). The switch is the clickable button variety rather that the spinning wheel sort. I'm not sure if there are separate names for these switches, but I'm happy with the one installed on this lamp, it's doesn't seem like it'd break any time soon. Also, the underside of the lamp is black as shown in the picture, which was welcome as white and reflective lamp shades provide a unpleasant harsh light in my apartment bedroom. This lamp provides a cozier light when coupled with a 60w edison bulb. Overall, I'm really happy with this, it's a great lamp.

Great fixture for a specific lighting mood, but canopy is small

Looks really really nice! This light creates such a nice ambience directly over a dining table. I don’t know that I would use this as a ceiling light for a main light source of a room because the sides of the shade create a block. So the light is very centralized. It’s great mood lighting for the dining room. I will say that the ceiling canopy that the fixture comes with was very small. I had to purchase a larger one, so the one installed/pictured is not the one that comes with the light. I bought a 5 1/4” canopy in matte black that works fine. It was an unexpected $12 to spend though so I wasn’t the most pleased about that but glad it worked out nonetheless.

Love the ability to move this around

I bought this light to hang over an area that normally doesn't have light but I wanted to set up a plastic table and chairs for the holidays. This was perfect for playing games and being able to read cards and directions. I have a 60 watt bulb in it and it's not too bright. I love that it's adjustable and plug in so you can move it anyplace you want. This will come down and be moved someplace else after the holidays. It was so easy to hang because it comes with plastic hooks and we have exposed conduit so it was a snap. It looks sleek and I got a lot of compliments on it.

Value for $$

Decent light. Was wanting a 100w compatible light for laundry room. We had to buy new screws because the ones that come with this light don’t work. We installed in 9’ ceiling & had to cut all of the cord to hang at correct height. The light then only shines below the canopy. The bulb in photo is 60w LED. I’m ordering 100w Edison style. Not the lights fault but mine for not considering this. For the money it’s a great value. It’s metal & good quality. May move to another location like pantry.

Small but mighty

Love the look! We were able to use this as our dining room light. It provides enough light for the space and has a nice finish to it. The shade doesn't overhang on the bulb which allows light to shine at multiple angles

A very sweet light!

The Globe Electric light was everything that I had hoped it would be. It was easy to hang and looks wonderful in my entry way. And it "goes" very well with an IKEA chandelier that I have over the dining room table, that happens to be in the same room as the entry way. So that was a very important consideration. All in all I LOVE it!
