Very comfortable, sizing is tricky

I just received my boots yesterday. I wore them right out of the box all day and they were very comfortable...that is rare for boots. I find most boots take a while to really break in. I read many reviews and was very hesitant about whether to size down half a size or order my true size so I ordered both a 6.5 and my normal 7. The hard part is that both fit fine. There was a slight difference in width and length but they both seemed to fit. The 6.5 was good with a thinner sock while the 7 worked with a thick sock. I decided to keep the 7 because I would rather have boots a little bigger than too tight. After wearing for a full day, I am wondering if they will stretch too much and maybe I should have kept the 6.5. I would say that my regular 7 did fit, but that they seem to be a little bigger than a normal 7. It really is a toss up. The leather is very soft and hits at a great spot on my calf, which is rare too because I am only 5' tall. My only complaint is that they could be a little more stylish in the toe area. They are very round and lacking a little in style. The calf is very stylish, but they loose a little of a "wow" factor in the toe box.

Phenomenal Boot

I had been eyeing these particular boots through multiple vendors for quite a few months to get the best deal and of course amazon had the best pricing! I was looking for a high quality moto/biker boot that was low key and not overtly 'biker-style'; low key enough to even wear with a long skirt. These boots are simply amazing! The design is perfect; lug sole, but not too chunky, a bonus! Highest quality of leather; very supple. I have a slightly larger calves so the fact that there is a strap to adjust it a bit was priceless. I also have a slightly wider foot and these boots could accomodate the extra width without discomfort. The fit is exactly as I expected. I am a size 7.5 shoe but a size 8 in a boot because I wear a midweight sock with my boots. So I ordered my usually 8's, despite the many reviews saying 'too large, size down'. The 8's are perfect! I have a feeling that perhaps many of the reviewers may be wearing them either sockless or with a lite stocking/hose/tight. So I would suggest going with your normal boot size. Beautiful boot, pricey but definitely worth every penny on sale. These are classic and will last for years with proper care. Very happy with this purchase and I highly recommend these!

Beautiful but too narrow for my Bunion!

These boots are beautiful and the leather is so soft. Would LOVE to have kept them but I have a bunion on my right foot (big toe) and these were just too narrow for me. Other foot was fine.Typically I only have that problem with heels not boots. I did order down one 1/2 size, per other reviews, and that was accurate since the length was perfect and I could wiggle my toes. Also, I'm petite at 5ft2in so the shaft height of 12 inches was a great fit for me. I'm so sad to have to return these. I gave 4 starts instead of 5 only because of the narrowness of the boot, which is more my problem than the boot :(

Cute, comfy, QUALITY!

Love love LOVE these boots! I had purchased a pair last year from Saks that my daughter borrowed—and loved— so I let her keep them. Shortly after that, I realized that I MISSED those boots and started looking around for another pair. Apparently ALOT of folks felt the same way as I could not find another pair anywhere—except the resellers who were asking TWICE the price, and then some! I happened to run across the LAST PAIR in my size here on Amazon, from Zappos, at a GREAT price, so it was a no brainer! Placed my order and received them within 2 days. These were exactly the same boots that I had previously purchased from Saks, and I couldn’t be more pleased! Excellent quality, love the look, the fit is spot on—just an ideal purchase.

Gentle Souls boots by Kenneth Cole

I have read reviews of this brand Gentle Souls & they all seem pretty positive. Found a pair I liked & ordered it. They are comfortable, but not "heavenly" as they've been described other places. I didn't know that they are part of the Kenneth Cole brand until the box showed up at my home. Maybe that is why the people who compliment the comfort feel that they are wonderful. I definitely do not think that Kenneth Cole is a brand known for comfort. These boots are made of nice, soft leather and they fit well. I don't think they would be comfortable for my usual long walks around Chicago. For that, I would require a shoe or boot with more arch support. These boots are also not insulated at all, so they would not be warm boots. They are definitely "fashion" boots instead. I guess I will wear them to work, somewhere where I will sit & be indoors for most of the day.

AAH!

I have a terrible time finding footwear that looks stylish and fits my wide, flat feet, bunions, and the fact that my right foot is a 9 and my left almost a 9.5. These boots are not as sleek and stylish as I'd like, and more than I wanted to spend, BUT they felt comfortable the minute I slipped them on (oh, yes, I also have a wide calf and must have zippers!), and I was able to wear them to work the first day, ALL DAY, with total comfort -- incredible. They are mid-calf on me and looked cute in the mushroom color (which, by the way, is not the bland camel color depicted, but a richer color with less orange -- a great neutral that pairs with anything), with white jeans -- and I did receive a compliment from a coworker. I was able to fit comfortably in a size 9. I felt enough arch support that I didn't bother with the arch supports I usually insert in my footwear. I will try one of their flats next.

Very proportional for short girls!!

I LOOOVE the boots! Unfortunately, I waited too long to try them on after receiving them and then realized that I ordered them 1/2 size smaller than I needed, so I couldn't return them. I waited a long time for these boots to come down in price, so I wear them anyway!! (They DO stretch some) I'm short, (5' 1") and these boots are very proportional. I love the lug soles and they easily stay clean. If I bought them in the right size, they would have been perfect, so for me, they run true to size. If you're going to wear them with thick socks, I'd suggest going up 1/2 size. If you live in a cold climate, these are NOT warm boots, they are fashion boots, but with the good soles and wearing thick socks, you could wear them in Chicago through the holiday season.
