LED bulb with timer

I would give this 10 stars if I could. What a great invention! The bulb will turn on at a time you decide and turn off 2, 4. or 8 hours later. Wonderful for vacations or to ensure you don't walk into a dark home at night

Neat Idea, Needs More Options

I like the concept of this bulb, however for most situations you are better off with a dusk-to-dawn bulb or a timer. Unfortunately, you are limited to choosing either 2, 4, or 8 hours of "on" time. It can also be a pain in the event of a power loss or someone accidentally shutting off the light switch, as this will reset the "clock" in the bulb. As a standard bulb (in the "always on" mode), it is as good as any ordinary LED bulb, which is how I now use this bulb.

Trial and error needed to get the proper settings - but works very well.

The instructions were confusing and slightly inaccurate but I took hints from many of the other reviews and got it to work. Mine is directly over the porch in front of the door so I'm not getting a good look at faces but the video quality is excellent. I'm looking into moving it to a different location to solve that problem. I highly recommend using the custom set up for the detection area. It will reduce the number of "false" triggers. I will say that heavy rain and blowing snow will trigger the camera frequently, even though mine is under the eaves. Light shining in the detection area will also trigger the camera. I DO like the product and may get one for the back yard to catch deer, ducks, geese and the occasional bear wandering around.

Wish it was brighter

It works great and solves the problem of a difficult to reach switch on our patio light. Just wish it was available in higher wattages.

Front porch light that shuts itself off

I used this for a front porch light so it will turn itself on and off. Works well and is super easy to set. The time increments are 2,4 and 6 hours and wouldn't you know it, I wish it had a 3 hour option? Aside from that, it's just what I was looking for.
