First Impressions (updated with 2nd impressions)

The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: original review below, adding post-vacation info. These pool floats were excellent in use. Definitely great for people of various sizes, we had people from 100lbs to over 200lbs use them without issue. They held up well to a week of heavy use and hot, tropical sun. We did top up the air mid-week, but that’s typical for pool floats. They bumped against the man-made “rocks” along a resort lazy river without issue, but I’d get something sturdier for a real river. While the cup holders are definitely unreasonably small, as I talk about in depth below, they are positioned well for actual use while floating. Added bonus, the patterns are unique enough that no one thought our floats belonged to the resort, which was a problem others in our group had with their solid color floats from another brand. I’d buy these again for sure. If they improve the cup holder and add handles, I’d give this five stars. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I spent way too much time looking for the perfect pool floats to take on vacation, so I thought I’d share my first impressions of this Funboy float to help other shoppers. We haven’t used them yet, so I’ll come back with an update if my review changes after vacation. Things I’ve noted so far: 1. The colors are much brighter than the photos online and on the product packaging. I bought two of these in two patterns, and both are significantly brighter. They’re still very cute, but don’t have the pastel vibe I was expecting. See photos comparing the box photo and the actual product. 2. I really wanted a cup holder, and several reviewers mentioned there not being one or that it is unusable. I unfolded one of my new floats to check out that sitch. There is indeed a cup holder. It has a hard plastic lining, so it won’t collapse in on itself once it’s inflated. However, it only fits soda can size or smaller. I tried quite a few cups and even 2.6 diameter cups don’t fit. I’ve included some pictures showing various beverage containers with the cup holder. I did finally find one travel cup small enough to fit, which is the 16oz Stojo, in case that info saves anyone some time. 3. The tube looks high quality. Much thicker vinyl than the stuff you buy at the regular store. The plug looks easy to use and sturdy, definitely needs a pump though. It’s a large float and should work great for most adult bodies. 4. Once you unfold it, it’s impossible to fold back to the original size. I decided not to unfold the second one so that it would be easier to pack in the suitcase. For comparison, straight from the box, it measures about 9 X 8 X 2.5 inches. The one I refolded measures about 10 X 10 X 3 inches.

Worth every penny

It’s easy to inflate if you have an electric air pump. I did and it inflated in seconds. If you don’t then it will be almost impossible. It’s sooo cute! And very sturdy and good quality. I have been looking for a float and had to return 4 of them because they wouldn’t stay inflated and were bad quality. This is definitely the best you can buy and worth it.

LOVE THIS FLOAT!

The float is much bigger than I thought it would be. You definitely need some type of air pump to fill it. That being said, Ive had it almost a month and haven't had to refill the air once. Its been very hot outside so it is hot to the touch in the pool, but if you flip it over, it seems to be fine. Its very comfortable and fits my 5'9 frame comfortably laying on top of it or floating inside of it.
