Good value and use, but..

These pants came in a little long and had to shorten them. Other than that, a very good tool to have in your backpack.

Truly Water Proof!

I ordered these on Prime shipping because I was participating in a 100-mile bike ride and the forecast called for temps in the 40's and rain most of the day. These are super lightweight yet durable and shed the rain like nothing else I've ever owned! They were not very breathable, however so by the end of the day may pants were wet from sweat. Just hiking would probably be fine, but they are not meant for High-aerobic activity like running or cycling. These also blocked enough wind that I was not cold at all, even after 6 hours of soaking sweat. I will say that, as these are not designed for biking; they took a beating from wearing/rubbing on the seat and will probably not last as long as they should - but that is from my using them outside their designed parameters. Also, they are designed to be "overgear" so they do fit a bit like M.C. Hammer pants (if you recall the early 90's). A surprise that helped was that the surface is cloth-like enough that I was able to use velcro straps which held to the material and wrapped around my leg to hold back the excess material. TL:DR - Even though I was stretching their limits wearing them for a 100-mile bike ride, they performed better than I could have imagined.

not as advertised

The product states zippered leg openings and pass through pockets. My rain pants arrived today and you guessed it, NO zippered leg openings and NO pass through pockets. I'll keep them and hope they are waterproof....

Keeps you dry for its purpose

This pant kept me dry during paddling a kayak. However, the leg openings are velcro closure and does not allow for a tight closing within its velcro area. However, in a kayak, I expected to be a bit wet on my lower legs. It is very baggy, but fit over my thermals and would also fit well over jeans. It was very waterproof and comfortable to wear. It is only a shell so you do need something underneath for cold protection. Do not mistake this for a dry suit/pant. It will not protect you if dumped into the water, however, it probably wouldn't weigh you down by being water logged either.

Loose waist

They do keep you dry but when you walk they tend to slide down even with the pull string as tight as I can get it...they don't feel big but they just don't stay put while walking with them on

Not durable

The pants were fine for the first couple of months, then the material started to get weaker and water was getting through. I recommend these if you are standing around in the rain doing nothing .

So far so good. They seem to keep the rain out

I've only had these pants for a couple of weeks but have been out in the west coast rain with them several times. When I first looked at the material they are made from I was not confident that they would be waterproof. So far so good. They seem to keep the rain out. They are made from a very light material so I'm not sure how they will hold up. That's why for now I give them a three.

Great pants, very sturdy

Great pants, very sturdy. After 2-3 years, I am still using the pants on a daily basis. The pants went through two winters of rough winter biking and are only starting now to show signs of wear. Amazing!

Material ligero pero defectuoso
