A great addition to my front door.

Bought this to cover window in my front door for security reasons, re: peeping tom’s & vagrants. I will secure it with a frame & Velcro over the old glass. This is not handmade. But it’s great for the price & adds character to any room.

A Lovely blast from the Past

I got this piece with the intent that it would look great in my mom's kitchen, and it does. Design Toscano have created a simple, but lovely piece of glasswork that fits really well at my mom's home. The Pros- - The glasswork is beautiful and looks to be well manufactured. All the soldering looks strong and it looks unlikely to break. - It 'feels' well made. Again, the soldering not only looks good, but feels good as well. - The price seems really fair for a handcrafted piece of art. The Cons- -I wish there were a better mounting option. The chains included seem a little flimsy, so I'm concerned they'll break if we hang the window from it instead of resting it on a small easel. Overall, this Design Toscano piece is a lovely addition to any home window. Recommended

Design Toscano Victorian Swag Tifffany – Style Stained Glass Window

I was pleasantly surprised by the colors, artistry, and overall quality of this product. The window has a very nice subtly stated Victorian design. I have seen many original windows of this type in 1900 turn-of-the-century homes. This reproduction is a good representation of those original designed windows. The colors are muted pastels in green, yellow, purple, white, with red accents. All the glass used has ripples that replicate the glass found in old stained windows. The glass pieces are cut to fit and put together with lead that appears to be coated with a dark substance (not sure what this is), but is accurately and neatly put together. If I had to guess, I would say this is soldered by hand, piece by piece, and done very well. The window is rigid with a frame that runs on all four sides, a very sturdy piece. In addition, there are two places in each upper corner to attach chains (included) for hanging this piece. In my estimation, this is a five star reproduction. A good carpenter could easily mount this window in a frame for installation in a wall. It is 17” x 17” in size.

This is just so lovely it looks beautiful on the window above my front door.It arrived well ahead of predicted time beautifully packaged and in perfect condition I would recommend this panel , great value for money compared to others I looked at,thinking of getting another one for my other door. Hochwertigste Verarbeitungsqualität

Das Fenster ist der Hammer! Sehr hochwertige Verarbeitung. Es sieht super aus. Mein Mann hat einen Schaukasten daraus gebaut. Siehe Foto. Die Wartezeit von über 4 Wochen war jeden Tag wert. Vermutlich werden die Femster nach Bestellung gefertigt. Gerne wieder!

Attractive and authentic looking.

The beauty in this window is in its imperfections, which give it an appearance and feel of authenticity. The coloured glass pieces are individually fitted and held in place with lead piping, and the whole pane is enclosed in a thin metal frame with two small metal loops on the top with which to hang the window. It’s an ornamental piece, intended to be placed either in a window with the light shining through, or on an interior wall with some form of lighting behind it. It’s also quite possible to hang it without any back lighting but it won’t be shown at its best. Close inspection shows the glass to have different surface textures, with small bubbles - imperfections as I call them - inside the material which gives a sense of handmade feel. The panes are formed from actual coloured glass rather than being surface painted. It’s a practical size, 43 x 43cm (17 x 17ins) and will hang easily from the frame of a window to show at its best. It’s fairly expensive, but is so much more attractive than today’s somewhat plain uPVC window units.

I was so very disappointed with this because i have received 4 pieces of glass now from this company and this is the worst. The glass looks nothing like it does in the picture, i mean the design is the same but in real life the colours are bland and boring and the bleeding on the white pieces just looks dirty. Then there is the fact that it is so full of air bubbles it looks like a glass of fizzy pop and had i paid for it i would of sent it back. You can call them gas pockets, part of the natural process and print that on a sheet of paper included with the glass all you like but it looks horrible. Mine also had lots of nicks in the glass and a few strands of embedded hair. Would genuinely send back to the manufacturer if i was able too, total rubbish. Pictures attached.
