Light shines through gap on both sides so technically not totally blackout

This blackout privacy roman shade doesn't allow any light through the body, but the sides are a different tale. I ordered the exact size of my window which is 31" for inside mount. Yet, there was a one inch gap on both sides for light to burst through . Seemed as if I didn't have a shade up at all. My windows are standard with nothing fancy about the shape. THe folds in a roman shade and how they lay are most important to me. I want the folds to lay the exact same distance apart from the next and each must be a mirror image of the following. At first, these were all wonky and lop sided with not one being like the next. Nothing a little modification here and there couldn't fix. THe plastic rods that create the folds needed to be adjusted in order to meet my preferences. THe issue behind the irregularity was the rods that extend from side to side were not stationary, so the rods would easily move about resulting in the variation of folds. I simply popped each rod out of the side pockets on both sides. The middle of the rods were still covered by the shade fabric,u but the ends were not which prevented any movement of the rods. Yes, you could see them from outside the window, but the outside facing side is not decorated any way. That brings me to my next issue at hand. I prefer my window treatments to be just as appealing from the outside as from the inside. So 1-2" of plastic on the ends didn't make much of a difference in my opinion. The material of this blind is great quality and can withstand the element of heat from the sun for several years to come. It's low maintenance , a simple swipe over the entire shade with a duster, and all dust and debris slides right off of its smooth surface. The mechanical mechanism of this item is sound and made well. All hardware is included for installing. However, I do suggest using your own wood screws unless you drill the pilot holes first. That is just an extra step I omit. So I stripped the heads of 2 or 3. Needless to say, I had to work at removing the stripped screws. I believe they would have stripped either way. they are soft.

Cool curtains. Entirely too expensive.

I wasn’t sure about these at first, but after installing them, I like them a great deal. My only issue with them really is the price. $80 is definitely steep, and I’ve seen similar for $30-$50 less, so I recommend them, but only if you can get them on sale.

This blackout curtain offers great privacy. It is made with a thicker durable material, and both sides are the same color, which have better shading ability. Instalation is simple enough and the quality of the curtain is exceptional.

Fits perfectly

The blind fits my window perfectly and was easy to install. It provides excellent light-blocking. Looks great, too.

Block the light but look amazing

This was so easy to install. It completely blocks the light but doesn't darken the room when open due to the light fabric. It opens and closes easily and adds a lot of style to any room

Very Nice Indigo Color. Good Construction and Easy to Install

I ordered this roman shade in the indigo color. I am quite impressed with the color which is not too brilliant and not dull, just the right shade (no pun intended). The fabric is good quality as is the entire mechanism. Installation is quite simple especially if you have installed any type of shade before. The cordless mechanism works well and give a tidy look to the overall install.

Perfect fit

This set of blackout ‘curtains’ fit perfectly in my window. I have nosy neighbors and this is just what I needed. Not only do they provide a complete blackout from the outdoor light, but also total privacy from said neighbors. Installation was a breeze
