Better than the old style ones

I just opened the box for these 5 minutes ago. I had a pair of the early 70s version when I was in high school with the thick hard leather and stacked heel. These...are different. I got the box opened and kicked off the Ugg mocs I use for slippers and put them right on. MORE COMFY THAN MY UGG MOCS! The leather is soft and pliable. The 11, my true size, fits like a dream. There's more padding than I expected. The old versions had no padding at all, just a hard leather sole and a thin leather lining on the inside bottom. These are much more elegant too. Unless you have problem feet, you can wear these without socks easily. They are not cutting into my Achilles tendon because they are cut low enough in the back to not sit there but they still do not slip on my feet when I walk. Amazon suggested I order a 12 but that would have been very wrong. I used to be a 10N but now am an 11M. You just have to know your own feet.

Met my expectation halfway.

Very comfy, I wore it a whole day right out of the box. It is true to size, I thought it would be tight based on the reviews read. However, seems to stretch the more I wear it. I don't like the colour so much, I thought it would be a rich navy, instead its a greyish blue. I'm trying to like it as much as I thought I would.

Well made shoe! But my foot is very narrow it ran a bit big for me. I wish it worked for me!

Poor quality, I expect more from Eastland

I've worn Eastland shoes on and off for many years, and thought I could always rely on quality and comfort from them. Not so with this shoe. I thought it might be a knock off but this listing makes me think otherwise. The "leather" looks like vinyl - cheap vinyl - and the inside has this kind of rough lining that isn't especially comfortable. Although the shoe is not true to size - too small for me - it slips at the back. There is very little arch support, something I require. I bought these as a slightly more dressy shoe than my usual Birkenstocks for an event, but I will probably return them because $78 is too much to pay for a poorly made, ill fitting shoe.

Classic Style. Comfortable footbed. Runs small.

Classic black penny loafer, these have a cushioned foot bed that is an improvement on the original classic. Width is standard, but I found they run short, so I'd recommend sizing up a half-size.

a bit tight as I have an xwide foot but I stretched them myself and they are so comfortable and really good looking. Found two shiny pennies and put them in so I will never be broke!! love them!

Look cheap/run large

It’s real leather however the quality is really poor, and makes the shoes look cheap. They fit large and wide even though I purchased my regular size and medium width. They seem comfy and the sole is padded. Considering sending them back...

Great, love them! Nice leather and fit well. Quite narrow over the top of foot, so be careful if you have chubbier feet.
