Best, sportiest, sexiest Rollator On The Market!
Best easy gliding, lightweight, sporty/sexy/eye-catching Rollator on the market! Last night some ppl didnt even realize it was a walker when I was at an outdoor concert! They thot it was a fancy stuff carrier chair for just such style events. The seat and backrest are more comfortable for a long druation than I thot. It also folds differently than the many less expensive Rollators as the Nitro folds slim with one hand mind you and you can still wheel it closed such as through a tight restaurant & still be supporte! What a bonus not bump into patrons chairs or inconveniences/interrupt everyone to move so u can navigate to/fro your table. I feel it is lightweight and I lift it into my Jeep just fine...granted I am under fifty years old. I also have the white as it matches my Jeep. Lol It stays clean plus goes with whatever color clothes I am wearing too! The braking cables are included in the frame so they don't catch on anything!!! I have the tall one as I am 6'2" and I am so glad I bot the tall as the handle height is great and yep the taller seat height is too! It really glides & folds like a dream and the mesh basket doesn't have to be taken off every time u put it in/out the vehicle like those metal basket ones so way faster to get going where you need to be. I read reviews even the black collapsible vinyl storage compartment on other Rollators have issues as bulky and the velcro bands don't compact right and cause other issues I don't recall specifically at the moment. I researched Rollators until I was blue in the face, even created a comparison chart. I tried all styles in a few medical stores but they were marked up over $300 and even after my measely insurance contribution to the cost it wasn't more than Amazon. They would have had to order my Tall size in anyway so would have waited for it too. If you have Amazon Prime u will get it sooner than ordering it from a store or their warehouse as the one store only gets warehouse deliveries once a week! A few things I can think of that could be improved are bigger fenders (plastic that hide the exit for the braking system) could be longer as also maybe serve as a fender to reduce wet wheel spit when the road/trail surface is wet. I Haven't had an issue of my shoes or pants/legs getting wet yet as not a lot of wet walking done. The other is it doesn't come with a cup holder. The Drive OEM cupholder available for additional purchase advertised doesn't work well per reviews and doesn't fit anything but a small water bottle and not expandable. Ugh. I also read for some reason the Tall Nitro Rollator has a bit wider frame and it wouldn't attach to it anyway. So try folding, lifting and sitting on all the Rollators in a store if you don't believe me. I will have this Rollator the rest of my life and my gent can use it as well as needed as we age and I will use it again when I have knee replacement. Unlike other walkers...I am totally impressed with this Rollator and unashamed to be seen with it...it sure is a sexy conversation starter and gets lots of looks!

Quite a gadget
The neurosurgeons tell me that my "spine has failed." Walking and biking have become problematic. The other day I walked .43 miles in about half of an hour using a cane. I had to stop at every bench, retaining wall, tree ring, and electrical junction box to rest. With my rollator I regularly cover 2.3-2.4 miles at a 22 minute pace without resting (I do sometimes stop to munch an apple.) The rollator enforces posture, allows a longer "heel-and-toe" stride and feels a lot safer. The frame is sturdy, yet flexible enough to get me easily over sidewalk cracks and rough spots. I wouldn't want to wander around a golf course with it, but the big wheels would make it possible if I stayed out of the deep rough. Frankly, I'd rather be 40 years old and able to walk without assistance. However, with my issues, the rollator makes mobility possible (I can easily fold it for car transport). Be careful going down hill as the rollator can get away from you. I suggest that you practice with the brakes to see how they respond. This is not a complaint, but the braking is asymmetrical. If you're not careful, the rollator can do a 90 degree turn towards the locked brake which could lead to a fall. Also, if one were to be putting weight on the handles and the rollator took off, you could find yourself on your face. These are not complaints, but it is possible to crash this thing if you're not careful. There's a difference between shuffling down the hall to the dining room and tearing across the parking lot. Practice braking and hills, and running one wheel off the sidewalk when you're expecting it so you can learn how to react. It would be a shame to fall and break a hip. Another nice feature is the curb climber tab next to the right rear wheel. When you come to a curb, place your right foot on the tab to hold the wheel in place, pull back on the grips, and over the curb you go. Easier done than said. One mistake I made: I'm about 6' and figured I should get the "tall" model. If you're under about 6'2" I'd suggest trying the regular model. With the tall model I have to keep my elbows bent and run the rollator out in front (hence hurting posture). Maybe it's a good idea to keep elbows unlocked, but still, there's enough adjustment in the regular version for me. If I ever lose or wreck this one I'll replace it with the short one. I've covered more than 150 miles with the tall version and it shows no signs of wear. I'll do my best to wear it out.

The Driver walker
This walker was for my 89 year old father. What I liked was it arrived without any assembly needed. It was ready to go!! We love it because it is made so well and my Dad felt safe using it. I highly recommend it.

Buy the tall even if you aren't.
Bought the tall even though I'm short. Need it to lean on when walking and the tall keeps me more upright and not stooped over. The seat is a little higher but still useable should it be needed. Very attractive looking walker.

Good walker, just as described!
Great walker. Easy to collapse and get in the car. Didn't get reimbursed by our insurance because we didn't get it from a medical supply company. ????

Great, really great . . . but
This actually deserves 6 stars, but there are some ancillary issues that drag down it's stellar worth. Why did I buy it? Twice I have broken my back . . . due to the destruction of bone tissue by cancer treatments (life is a bitch, no?) . . . and I had decided that no matter what I need to accept the situation and work beyond it if I was going to win. So, I spoilt myself (I AM going to win). First, build quality and finish are tops. People refer to this as my "Rolls Royce", and that is not an understatement. I am 6' 4.5" and weigh in (unfortunately) at the 300 lb. mark. There was a long and circuitous decision making process, but by sheer fluke I found a tall model, colour I could do without, but what the heck . . . the price ($235 cdn) was unbeatable. The fit, the finish, welds etc. are superb. The brakes after a few usages are quite flawless. The seat is solid, comfortable as is the backrest. The included bag and backrest are nice and welcome touches. Everything says quality . . . I am happy . . . EXCEPT . . . the manual that comes with it is a bad joke. In fairness, Drive's website is extremely helpful, but I think it is fair to presume a large part of potential owners might be elderly and as such don't know, nor care about the Internet . . . threading a new brake cable is an adventure (even for little Willie, my nephew . . . ). There should be written documentation. And what really annoys me is the aftermarket. Bear with me. First off, the frame material is not tubular . . . it is longitudal. Yes, I and others should have that in mind when purchasing. What it means is that if you wish to add hooks, or more importantly a cup holder, unless you have a whiz kid buddy to modify stuff, you are obliged to buy Drive's accessories . . . $35+ cdn for a cup holder? Injection modded in Taiwan at a gross cost of maybe $0.03? . . . that is RAPE . . . Drive should be ashamed. (don't dare criticize wanting a cup holder . . . how many times have you or a loved one waited hours . . . having a coffee, hot chocolate, or pop is needed . . . and if you are broken, so is a cup holder). All the best paul
