Bathroom Toilet Riser

The universal toilet seat riser offers a 2 inch, 4 inch , or 6 inch riser adjustment and offers removeable handles so that is way I purchased it. However, because the riser's plastic mold base frame is a fixed 4 inches AND it doesn't completely cover the porcelain (standard ) toilet bowl when installed , it is now 6 inches taller using a 2 inch riser option.. To make it fit better over my porcelain standard toilet base, I had to adjust the toilet seat riser as if my Toilet were an elongated toilet. However, it still does not completely cover the toilet , therefore, the height with a 2 inch riser is nearly 6 inches taller. A 4 inch riser is now an 8 inch riser. The toilet riser requires no tools to assemble but it does take about an hour to assemble and readjust. I found it very difficult and exhausting to assemble and adjust. The handrails are nice and can be removed as an option, which is helpful. I am keeping the toilet seat riser, but need to wear my shoes when on the toilet so my feet touch the floor. Defective design as is.

I tried this, just not right for me.

I tried this. It’s not a bad riser, but soon decided I had to find something that fit me better. It’s sturdy and one needs to read instructions regarding proper installation of rods under the seat for height, as I sort of missed at first. It is constructed well, has a smooth surface, but did not care for the feel and angle of the arms. It might be better for one who is taller. What’s nice is, being one unit, it is placed right over the porcelain bowl. Again, not a bad item and do not feel it would shift, etc., but one just needs to determine what is right for them

Adjustable holders

The toilet riser once installed it’s very sturdy, but the adjustable holder when you lock them into place and want to unlock them they break easily. I had to order another one riser because I did like the toilet. The first toilet was for my 90 year old mom I don’t want her to hurt her self because one of the adjustable holder broke easily so I’m gonna give her mine and the holder that I have I will glue it onto the toilet part. I tried to order that part but it’s going to cost $27 for the whole pack of various parts for the toilet. I can’t just order that one part I can only order that one whole pack. Be careful when when unlocking the adjustable holders the pictures shown below show where they lock, and where you can push them and to unlock them but it’s very delicate and it’s a plastic piece that can easily break.

My Elderly parents need.... and like it

Despite the (necessary?) trial & error process-- in finding the right height and fit with this appliance, perseverance paid off FINALLY, and I got the acceptable fit which not only finally fit on the toilet, but is now perfect for the elderly parents. This is so far good and sturdy, and they say it is solid and they're confident to use it. I recommend it to you.

Frustrating

I didn’t find it easy to set up and there was no video we could find. The manual is somewhat challenging. Overall it is fairly well built and it looks nicer than expected. I like the fact the handles can slide back if not needed. I tried to call the company but couldn’t get thru. I would have returned it but my surgery is coming up soon and I need a riser. A video would have made my review 5 stars.
