Way better than the "same" item that's in stock at Home Depot
I bought one of these last week locally at HD, and then ordered this one here after the HD one wore out in about 10 standard 5"x5" tiles worth of work and it became clear that I'd need more than one and probably a ton of these bits to regrout the shower. I didn't want to order a ton of these on Amazon right off the bat, because you can never be quite sure what's in stock here. Sometimes it's some weird counterfeit product that isn't as good as the real thing. I wish I *had* ordered a ton, though, because the first one absolutely TORE through about a third of the shower's grouting job before I burned the rechargeable Dremel I was using out. That's right - the Dremel (7 years old, to be fair) died before the bit dulled. LOL. RIP, 'lil Dremel, long live your plug-in replacement. I tragically dropped the Amazon-sourced bit as I was taking it off of the dead Dremel, and the tip snapped off of it, but I had already stopped mid-job and ordered another one after seeing what it was capable of. Now I have to work with another Home Depot one until that one arrives. :( Guess I'll see if the next HD one can get through 6 tiles worth of grout this time.

Works well
They're very strong and can withstand a good amount of use. With that said, I Did need to replace it twice while clearing out old grout for a small bathroom which surprised me. I expected to only need to replace it once but there's certainly an argument against my expectations. Otherwise, I almost never have any issues with Dremel's bits.

Botbsame quality as bought in store
I have bought about 20 of these in total from the local hardware store. Amazon. And I line hardware stores. THESE ARE NOT RIGHT. the label inside the package says "dremmel" but is the wrong color, which could indicate old stock, but also does not fold out with the same info as other labels. The actual bit dulls MUCH more quickly, so even though these are less expensive, you will spend more money. I suspect they are not made of the same metal. Removing grout is awful and I generally recommend that you just not bother and wait until you can replace the whole tile, but if you are working with a grout warranty such as I was or if you are trying to save historic tile, this would normally be a good tool. But not this version

Great product
We thought it was without original package. Although it did come with original packaging. Good sale!

Has a great niche purpose!
I’m removing old grout from my stone tile shower floor. Not because it’s crumbling, but because I’m tired of mold forming there. Let’s face it, cement based grout is porous, even with sealer, so I’m replacing the old grout with epoxy grout. Laticrete, purchased here on Amazon.com, which is 100% waterproof, and comes in many colors. (Tip: Order a color chart from Laticrete, you can’t trust the colors shown on the screen of an electronic device). I’ve found that starting with an oscillating tool with a grout blade is a good place to start, but if your grout line a a bit thicker than 1/8th of an inch, you’re still going to have old grout on the inside walls of the tile. This is where the Dremel grout bit shines. Not that it’s not good for all of your grout removal, I’m just trying speed up the process for my project. Your “pilot” lines are already there, left over by the oscillating tool blade, so when you insert this Dremel bit, it quickly knocks off the remaining grout from the side walls. It’s also great for grout lines that meet at a wall, where no oscillating tool blade will fit. (Attached image shows the top tile that has been gone back over with this Dremel bit; notice there is no grout left on the side walls of the tile. Unlike the tile directly beneath).

Works much better than a Sheet rock knife
I have experience as a Tile Mechanics helper. i have had to scrape out many grout joints. This time i had to do my own. Wanted to re-grout my bathroom floor, small job. im older now,59, holding/working w/hand tools is gettin a little more difficult. and i used the Dremmel tool for this job. go slow, worked like a charm. no sheet rock knives, blade replacing, working out your hands, etc. had to do a lil scraping,...im a perfectionist. gonna do my kitchen flr. next, bought 2 more bits.

good to know
Worked okay removing cement grout around ceramic tiles but did get dull in a fairly short period. Did not damage tiles. Tried removing grout with a hand tool but this did not work at all. Grinder did not fit where I was working plus I did not want to damage the tiles.

Bit dulled after a short time. Returned.
Ordinary sanded grout around 12 x 12 floor tiles about five years old. The bit dulled after a couple of tiles. Returned bit.

Made fast work of old grout
Worked great in my dremel to remove some old discoloured grout. No damage to the tiles but the grout was cleaned out very quickly.
