A must

These are a must for traveling with the wide mouth Dr brown bottles. They allow you to pre fill the bottle with liquid and not leak in a bag.

Fits the quattro stagioni bottles - mostly

I have lots of Quattro Stagioni bottles and have been struggling with their lousy bottle caps. For the regular jars, I have lots options, including for canning, because they are a standard size. But not the bottles. I can't use these caps for canning, of course, but for regular storage, they are great! It's wonderful to have an option finally! The only caveat is that there's enough inconsistency in the bottles that the caps don't actually fit on all of them. So far, it's about 1 in 10 for the "pint" size jars, 2 in 10 for the "8oz" jars, and out of 6 "quart" jars, one of them doesn't fit. But it's the jars that are the problem, not the caps. I use the jars to "can" (frozen) fresh lemon juice from my tree and fermented red pepper sauce (sriracha -- in the refrigerator). Neither of those processes requires heat canning, so I don't need caps that can withstand a canner. However, I do like to can tomato juice and it would be nice to have a canning lid for the bottles -- the ones QS makes are very unreliable for canning.

Wider than standard

Dr.Browns full wide neck top is slightly wider than standard (Philips Avent.) They turn any feeding bottle this width into a storage bottle. I don't own any wide neck bottle from Dr.Browns but instead use these with Pigeon brand bottles. In fact all of Dr.Browns wide neck items work interchangeable with Pigeon brand bottles. This was a very good purchase as I am now able to pump into my feeding bottle and store them with no problems. Highly recommended.

Must Buy!

These are perfect for the Dr. Brown's wide neck bottles. I wish I would have bought them sooner cause it is so nice to make up the bottles and use this lid instead of the nipple. They are well priced too!

Useful but could be better

These are fine for shaking bottles to make up the formula as you can't shake with the teat, vent and cap on Dr Brown's bottles as they leak. I've not found that they leak when shaking with these caps on. For travelling, they would be much, much better if the top part of the bottle (the cap and teat) could fit on top, as otherwise you have to take a separate sterile container with the other parts of the bottle in, which isn't convenient. Also, considering that without these it's pretty much impossible to make up a powder formula feed in these bottles by shaking, one of these should really come with each Dr Brown's bottle that you purchase, rather than being an extra you have to pay more for.

A bit disappointing but essential nonetheless

Essential if you shake up formula in the bottle because the bottles leak A LOT if you shake them with the teat on instead. But I bought them also for travel so that I could pack a pre-made bottle which was (1) leak proof and (2) would fit in the insulated bags we have. It’s disappointing however that using the bottle cap to travel means you have to then transport the sterilised teat and the green valve. The lid will not fit if the valve is in the bottle - I thought it would. Having gone to the effort of sterilising all the bottle parts, having to transport them and keep them sterile (and then build the bottle with clean hands whilst out and about) is far too much faff for me. So I don’t use them for travel. Which is disappointing.

Takes the faff out of making bottles

I ordered these not as a travel lid but as a lid when making/shaking the bottle(s). I found that the Dr Brown bottles held milk in the threat of the bottle which leaked down the bottle when feeding, resulting in stick bottle/fingers. this was due to shaking the bottle and taking the lid back off as we use a bottle maker. By using these I no longer have any milk leaking down the bottle which is more hygienic for the little one.

Good for the leaky Dr Brown's

These are really good at making up a feed in the Dr brown bottles. Without them you can't shake the bottle up, which is ridiculous really. These close tightly over the bottle and don't leak when shaken. I presumed that I would be able to use these on the bottles for traveling, but then you need to be able to transport the anti colic middle part, and the teat and cap too. This is really hard to do when trying to keep sterile also. I take these caps out with me and keep in a plastic sandwich bag as j don't know how else to keep them sterile.

Good use for making bottles- sometimes difficult to get off

We use these as a cover for dr brown bottles for when we are using our prep machine, it makes it easier to shake quickly without having to put together the whole bottle and then take it apart again to put cold water in. They have a good deal most the time but occasionally when I have shook it milk has come out- probably down to me not ensuring the seal is on properly- but when you have a crying baby it’s the last thing you check. I sometimes find it quite difficult to get lid off of on too tight too.
