Good Cables But They Wear
The hooks themselves are narrow as opposed to the wider Roadmaster hooks. The narrow hooks easily attach to smaller fittings on your tow vehicle baseplate or RV and the wide hooks don't always fit, so I prefer these Demco cables. The hooks can rust in spots and a few cable strands broke, poked through the shrink rubber that covers the first several inches of cable from the hooks, and cut my hands. The strands also tore through my Demco tow bar cover and I didn't appreciate having to spend $56 on a new one. I cut the strands off (they cannot be cut flush), heavily taped over the shrink rubber, and reversed the cables so the broken end was attached to my RV. This issue didn't change the tow weight capacity of the cables but I'm not sure if I would buy Demco cables again of I could find high quality, long enough, and narrow hooked replacements from another manufacturer.

Easy to insert and remove!
I needed to replace the safety cables that came with our hitch. The old ones had an annoying d-ring clasps with screw closures and I hated them. Unscrewing them with cold hands was miserable. These have spring clasps and are so easy to remove but still secure. The cables are strong and the length is perfect.
