Nice shelf for the price
Relatively sturdy, nice looking shelf. My only complaint is that the hole on the bracket to attach to the wall is too far down. It's barely above the wood, so when you turn the screw, it's in contact with the shelf and scratched it. The directions have you attach the shelf to the brackets first, the attach to the wall. To avoid scratching the shelf, attach the bracket to the wall, THEN slide the shelf in and attach. It was too late for me.. but a brown marker fixed the scratch.

Wrong size for hanging on studs.
Many American homes have studs on 16" centers, so a product with 32" spacing between the brackets would be ideal. This product has 28.5" spacing. That required using drywall anchors. The included drywall anchors are low-quality. The images say that it is 36" wide overall. It is not. It is 31.5 inches wide. The wall mounting holes in the brackets interfere with the shelf. So, you have to assemble the product to mark the holes, and then partially disassemble the product to complete installation. This could have been fixed by moving the mounting holes a fraction of an inch. The appearance is satisfactory.

Great shelves!!
I ordered two and they came quickly. They came in separate boxes and one was slightly warped but doesn't affect it. They were easy to put together and look great hung on my wall.

Advertised Size is Inaccurate
The shelf I purchased was advertised to be 36 x 8 x 0.75 inches. Upon receiving the shelf, I double-checked the dimensions and it turns out the length is not 36". It is 31.5". I'd avoid purchasing this as I'm now worried about what in the world this shelf is actually made of or what other elements aren't true.

Very Beautiful, Solid Gorgeous Wood and Strong Metal, Quite Heavy, High Quality
I like how protectively packaged this shelf and brackets arrived. The wood shelf is solid wood and quite heavy, with a beautiful color and finish. The metal brackets also have a good weight to them, and look as good as the product photos. I've been wanting a nice long shelf that has a good depth to it, and at just over 31 inches long and around 7.5 inches deep, this nicely fit the bill. This is just gorgeous between the quality of wood, the finish and nice black brackets against the walnut wood, it really is a beautiful-looking shelf. One will certainly require the plastic inner anchors that come with this unless drilling directly into wood studs. As I've mentioned, this is heavy! I love the look, feel and incredible sturdiness and high quality of this shelf. Nothing about it is cheap-looking or feeling, it's definitely a high quality shelf that offers a good amount of storage room, high-end quality, classic style and the beautiful combination of solid wood and nicely black finished metal brackets. Paid more for the wrong size.
When the seller's description says 36 inches, the buyer should expect 36 inches. Instead, it came out as 31.5 inches. Horrible practice. Returned immediately. 1 star for decent sturdiness of the wood. Otherwise I'd give 0 stars if I could for inaccurate description.
