Great Lights, Charge Right Up, Not Too Bright, Two Different Settings, Sensors Work Well

The media could not be loaded. If you live in an older house you might have wired outside lights with movement sensors that take old expensive bulbs. The bulbs burn out all the time especially if there is a dog or other animal that trips the sensor all the time. In the end, there is never a working bulb in them. With these, there is no need to mess around with those fixtures or bulbs anymore. When these arrive, just set them outside in the sun for a day and they are ready to go. As soon as it gets dark you can test them out. There are three settings that are changed at the push of a button. The first setting is OFF. They will of course stay off with this setting. The second setting turns on the motion sensor. When motion is detected the lights come on for 25 second and stay on for 25 seconds until after motion is no longer detected. The third setting sets the lights to come on low when the sun goes down and get a notch brighter when motion is detected. After 25 seconds with no motion detected the lights go back down to low. These come with screws and hardware necessary to attach them to a wall. It would be nice if they came with some sort of adapter to make it easy to mount them to a pole as well. The brightness of these lights are perfect for their purpose. If you want to light up your whole backyard or patio, these are not the lights to buy. They put off a fair amount of light that is good enough to light up an area around a grill and a little bit of the surrounding area at night. It's good enough to see everything around but it is not at all like like a floodlight. These could be good for attaching to an RV so long as there aren't a lot of blowing or moving tree branches around. They would be good for camping if there was some way to mount them other than screwing them into something. You could buy some kind of a wooden block or something like that to screw them into to make it easier to set them somewhere while camping. That would help them stay in place on a picnic table or on your car at a campsite. They could be set on a picnic table as is but that couldn't be a great setup. I haven't stayed up all night to see how long the batteries last but they go on an off plenty up until 3am without any noticeable difference in brightness. Of course these are solar so you will need to mount them where the solar panel soaks up the sun. The lights and the solar panel are adjustable. Overall, this is a great pair of security lights that could be used in a number of different environments. The bulbs in the old wired lights on my building burn out so often that these will pay for themselves in less than six months just based on the savings on the bulbs alone.

It works, long lasting is in doubt

It works, brightness is decent, giving the fact that it is on rechargeable battery. The two flood lights can be independently adjusted to spot different area and almost any angle you desired. The solar panel can be adjusted, but limited to single direction tilting up or down, not freely adjustable to face the sunshine direction. After the pros, here are the cons, some also mentioned by other reviewer, like it is "hanging" by 2 upper screws, I also wish there is another at the bottom, to hold it against the wall, so, you need to adjust the tightness of the hanging screws to make it hold against the wall as much as you can, otherwise, there will be gap either at the top or bottom. Note that the sensor direction can NOT be adjusted, that means you can't hang it too high as well. I wish the sensor direction can be fully adjustable like the lights so that I can adjust the area that I want the light to be focused and detect. The solar panel is just ok, since it can only tilting up or down, if the sunshine is coming at an angle to your house(solar panel), you will always not recharge the battery at full speed since the solar panel can't be tilted left or right. Final, I opened it up to see the "details". There are 6 screws holding it at the back. There is NO rubber/silicone gasket in between the housing and the back cover, what does that mean? That means water moisture or water MAY go in more easily. It is using 2x 18650 custom packed batteries, not "normal" user serviceable or swap-able in case the battery goes bad. You need to bundle your two 18650 batteries and reuse that battery connector, in case you really want to swap or service the battery. So, in conclusion, expect it is "one-time" use for what you paid, and make sure you install it correctly and hold against the wall as much as possible without gap and avoid water and moisture, since I really doubt about its water-resistant feature giving the fact that no sealant to the housing nor the pcb/batteries inside. Otherwise, for worry-free and long-lasting battery operated security spotlights, probably you need to compare some more other products.

A bit sensitive

Super easy to install and use. Very bright, even after a cloudy day and many activations. There in lies the only issue - activations. We use these lights to illuminate areas covered by our outdoor cameras. Often, we can't determine what set the light off. Given that most people are looking either to illuminate for transit through an area or to discourage trespassers, this can be overlooked. Because it's still going as the sun comes up.. Excellent light.

Puts out a lot of light but not a lot of options for hanging

This definitely has a bright light that will illuminate a fairly large area. I have it attached to the front of my mother’s garage and it lights up the driveway area enough that she can see if any of her cats are there when she’s pulling in. If you use the motion detector feature, it will only turn on when something moves into view. So far, that feature seems to work well and detects people as well as cars. It was a bit awkward to install and I ended up adding some of my own hardware to make it a bit more steady. I installed it facing south so it gets enough sun to charge it up all night.

Works well to light up the side of my house

I have a little path on the side of my house that is very dark and I mounted this on the siding so I can walk around without tripping. It's very easy to mount and comes with screws. I picked this product because it looks pretty nice even though it's made out of plastic. The motion sensor is sensitive and always works whenever I walked by. I have the solar panel pointed to the afternoon sun and it's able to keep it charged very well. The only problem I have with this is the two heads are not flexible enough. It has very limited range on how you can turn it because I wanted to point downwards but I was still able to get it working the way I want to.
