Warm and Looks Good

I used this throughout a recent trip to Scotland. It was colder than expected, so I wore it daily. It washed beautifully at the laundromat. I wore it over blouses, dressy tops, turtle necks, and under a needed raincoat. Zipper pockets are a bonus for travelers.

Fits nicely

Very flattering, true to size, if you have a larger chest I recommend sizing up by one size though as it’s a tad snug.

It's a little large but good, cozy, doesn't look or feel cheap. Now I can stop borrowing my husband's lol

Good bang for your buck, but very large

The item is not true to size. It is much, much larger than the typical XS, allowing for cold air to slip between you and the garment. I would have to wear many thick layers underneath for a better fit. Other than sizing, the vest is a great mid layer option for only $30.

Possibly Counterfeit

I have bought this vest from Columbia more than 6 times. The last one I purchased from Amazon, the fabric quality was much thinner than all my other BENTON vests. In fast, just 1-2 month prior, I purchased another color directly from the Columbia website and the fabric was thick and plush. The care tags look the same, the outside brand tag looks the same, but the inside tag (next to the neck) has a slightly different print / font. Possibly counterfeit or didn't pass quality control? I don't know. Returned. This is the reason why I almost always buy direct from the brand or manufacturer these days.

Great vest but be careful ordering an XXL - recieved the wrong size

The vest is quite nice but I wanted to warn folks to be careful when ordering an XXL. According to their size chart (and the products themselves) XXL and 2X are different sizes. I ordered an XXL in "dark nocturnal" and the item showed up in the cart as 2X. I thought that was a bit weird, but maybe that was just how it was labeled in their system. When it arrived, it was definitely a 2X - labeled as such and way too big. I went back to Amazon and confirmed that anytime you put an XXL dark nocturnal in your cart, it shows as 2X. But the black XXL showed as XXL in my cart, so I ordered that and it was actually a XXL. It fit well and I'm keeping that one. Hopefully they will sort out the problem, but in the meantime, pay attention to how it is labeled in your cart. The vest itself is soft, warm, looks nice, and has 2 deep inner pockets in addition to the 2 zippered side pockets. I think it will be great. I have the coat version of this as well and it is very cozy and warm.

Good sale price

I bought a dark gray vest (same brand, Columbia Benton Spings) 3 years ago, but the zipper pull came out and cannot be fixed. So I bought this one, but the material is a lighter weight than the older one; still a good fit.

This is a great vest!

Everyone we know is sporting one, because we have gifted them for birthdays and Christmas for a year now. I wish it came in more colours - I keep looking for a red one in my size. You can’t go wrong with any Columbia product. My ski jacket is almost 30 years old and still bright white! A little heavier than the newer models, but having tried both, I think my old one is warmer! But I’ll just wear my vest under the newer version for that added warmth. A great fit, a great look and toasty warm.

Love this brand for cold weather

3 stars as the material and style is great but so much shorter than last years same item. How can it be the same manufacturer & size and it’s literally a good couple inches shorter ????
