Very sturdy
My husband is on the bigger side. This is a perfect chair for him. It's really wide. Plenty of room and is comfortable.

Comfortable
But be careful, first time setting in it , it wanted to fold up.. same when my husband set in it.. he folded up an fell backwards.. it was on our wood deck, plus I think it wasn't completely locked into place...not sure but it slid an started filing while he was in it.. He was afraid to move after he got up an set again in it...lol So make sure u push hard on the seat to make the legs sorta lock in their place..an dont wiggle around to much..

Buy a cushion, too.
The main features of this chair, extra width and sturdier construction, are 100% accurate. I fit with plenty of elbow room on both sides and the tubing used for the frame is noticeably of better quality and of a gauge which should hold up to the 400lb weight claim. I am disabled and have had both knees replaced this year so I spend a lot of time in this chair. The only reason this chair takes a hit on comfort is because the steel tubing which runs under the seat lacks sufficient padding to keep it from impinging on my rear end. That negative becomes more of an issue as the chair gets "broken in" to my size and shape. Fortunately, an easy, relatively cheap fix is a chaise lounge pad/cushion. I absolutely love this chair and I sometimes spend as much as 12-14 hours a day in it. I am able to easily get my surgical sites above my heart which helps with swelling. When I add a cushion, I'll be set. If you are a larger person who needs a zero-gravity chair that is simple to use/adjust and who wants to feel (and actually be) more secure, this just might be the perfect choice .

Great for larger people, not for taller though UPDATE
Great sturdy chair for lounging, or a day at the beach for a larger person. Unfortunately, my feet lay on the steel tubing at the base of the chair when extended, and there is no comfortable position to have them rest on. Fixed this with a thick towel to cushion that area. 6' 7" height for reference. Probably won't be an issue for most except us taller folks. Overall very happy with how sturdy this chair is, and not terrible to transport when folded up. Can’t be left outside
We bought this chair for our pool deck and it is so comfortable! The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars, is there is a wooden inlay on the arms that can’t be left outside. It has a warning on the chair not to leave in rain or sun for prolonged periods of time. Since ours is on our pool deck, it’s definitely looking rough after one season.

Very heavy
I wanted this for the beach but it is too heavy. Very sturdy though. It is hard to move up back and forth. Comfortable to sit in.

Purchased for the wider width. I am averaged size woman, but didn't want my arms pinched together and at an uncomfortable height. I can rest my arms at my side and avoid using the arm rests. Also would be good for a larger person, as it is very sturdy!

Very large and sturdy!
Received it today and love it so far! Is indeed extra wide for those of us who have large hope like I do! When unfolded entirely it takes up 3/4 of the balcony! I have to do some maneuvering with my planters but worth it so I can have a nap or read a book! I have no concerns about it holding me. Didn't budge at all and I weigh around 270lbs. Tons and tons of room! This would be great for a large/ tall man or lady! Tray is hard plastic but that doesn't matter! Will do a follow up review if anything changes.

Good value for the $$$
I think this is a good chair for the money but I did return mine due to some crazy creaking from the one arm rest. I reduced the rating by 1 star only because it’s like sitting on a piece of plywood but that said, I’m sure it has to be that stiff to support their ad of 400lbs. I’m 180lbs and bought it for sleeping in due to some physical issues. It’s crazy wide which was fantastic and exactly what I wanted, I was just concerned with that one arm and the comfort factor of it not working for me personally for a 7hr sleep. As a camp chair, and to be fair, this is what it’s intended for, I think it’s a 5/5 and a solid purchase.

broken piece of plastic in the box
I am pleased with the sturdiness of the product as well as the comfort but want assurance about damage to one of the arms. When I opened the box, there was a small piece of plastic in the bottom of the box. Upon examining the chair, I found where the broken piece belongs. I want assurance that if the chair breaks due to that piece, it would be covered. Oddly, the chair was in a plastic bag but the small plastic piece was not in the bag but in the bottom of the box. I would appreciate a response. Thank you.

Beware of defects
The media could not be loaded. Well I have had this chair for 2months and the stitching popped in the mane part of the seat and i almost fell straight through and they say it’s rated for 400lb and I’m a bigger guy but not 400lb. It looks to be a manufacturer error with the stitching. Also after some digging on the web I couldn’t find any contact info for customer service or anything just a Facebook account with an email that don’t work I hope I can get in touch with them so we can fix this soon because otherwise the chair is very comfortable ????

Too Stiff Layback Mechanism
Chair does not lay back as it should, but is very very stiff to the point that the person I gifted it to gave up and returned it. It lays back easily without anyone sitting in it but is very very stiff when someone is sitting in it, which is the whole point of course. Disappointed. Returned.
