Amazing Bit

This bit is incredible. Had to drill a brass snare drum shell with large holes, including one 1/2” hope and they look flawless. Cut them in literal seconds a piece.

US made, works great

I drill holes in aluminum for installing solar arrays. Trying to get a burr-free hole with a twist drill bit is Mission Impossible. But with the step bit, I get a clean, burr-free hole every time. It also means I don't have to carry a bunch of different sized bits around with me. Just keep drilling until the correct size is reached.

Works well for plastic, not so well with stainless steel

It is great for placing holes in plastic, I really couldn't put a 7/8" hole in 304 stainless.

Great Tool

Although I was actually looking for a larger Step Bit, and did not find one on Amazon, I took this one as a sub. It is a very fine tool, just wish it was larger.

Best step bit Ive found

Very sharp, extremely handy as it can be used on an impact gun. Ive had another one of these bits that has stayed sharp for over a year now, and I use it quite frequently.
