Chaco Cloud footbed is a winner

I really like the Chaco cloud footbed vs. the classic. The arch support on the classis was too high and firm for me. I felt like either my toes or my heel were "floating", almost like the arch was a fulcrum. The softer cloud footbed was just right with great arch support for my lower, falling arches. I ended up returning the style with the Mega or wider straps. The regular width straps worked out better for me. I also ended up preferring the style without the toe loop. I like the feeling of free toes.

Hiking shoe

I'm going on a long hike and needed a open sandal that supports my feet and aren't bulky. They're perfect. It takes a bit getting used to. The band is one continuous loop and adjustable. The footbed has a little cushion to them.

Not for me

I’m not even sure if i received a legit product. They came in an unmarked cardboard box which was weird. I’ve never owned a pair of Chacos so i can’t compare them to anything. Aside from that, these shoes were not for me unfortunately. I was between these (pictured in black) and the Teva Hurricane XLT2 (pictured in multicolored). A friend of mine highly recommended Chacos so i ordered these. For reference i am a 6.5 normally and ordered them in 6.5. My review: The size was fine but the shoe was pretty heavy. Although the straps were soft, they were a lot bulkier than I expected and the back strap across the achilles laid awkwardly (pictured), even though i tried to adjust them as much as i could - my boyfriend even tried to help. The arch was too high for my foot which caused my heel to kind of float in the air when i walked or stood normally (pictured). Almost like i was walking on my tippy toes. My heel couldn’t fully rest on the shoe unless i pressed my heels down. As a result, my feet felt tired after wearing them at the house for a couple of hours and taking them off was a huge relief, which wasn’t a good sign. Overall i wasn’t impressed with the style. I returned them and ordered the Teva Hurricanes (pictured) and i’m much much happier with those! I gave it 3 stars because the quality was nice and i’m sure they would be good for someone who needs the arch support.

Not for fat tender feet

I am fat and so are my feet. I also have tender feet and I can feel the nubbie texture of the footbed which feels uncomfortable when you are putting this much weight on them. Then the straps hurt and the buckle sat on top of my foot because the straps aren’t long enough to go over and around a fat foot and still hit the lower side of foot where it wouldn’t hurt. I gave them to my daughter who has less nerve sensation in her feet. She said the wide strap hurt less than the skinny double straps.

Sized wrong?

So cute, but these are more than a half inch shorter than my other five pairs of size 7 Chacos ????

My feet are happy

I have worn Chaco shoes in the past. I had the Z1. I like that sandal but I preferred a slide style more. My feet have changed due to arthritis. The balls of my feet are more sensitive and I have bilateral Achilles tendinitis. I wanted a softer footbed. These shoes have incredible arch support which I like. There is more of a cushioned feel to the soles. I like the thicker strap for more stability. I know I need a back strap and these do not irritate my Achilles. I like the solid black to use for casual and then more upscale events. I’m past the point of wearing anything that pinches my toes or throws my balance with too high of a heel. I bought 2 more pairs after I got these. I use a Chaco closed toe sandal for water aerobics. So glad I got back into wearing Chaco. I wear a 11.5-13 in Women’s but an 11 fits perfect for length. Highly recommend.

Arch doesn’t line up with mine

I was so disappointed, these would have been perfect, love the wide adjustable straps & the price was right. I am looking to replace my 10 yr old ones. The arch was up closer to the ball of my foot which seemed odd so I had to return them
