Great track and even better karts

The track itself is tough and reliable as are both I've bought from this company so far. The jump can be tough to land but is doable and easily removable for my 4 year old to race cars. The real gold star in this set is the karts. We have this set and the Cars set and the Cars cars fly off the track constantly. These karts seem to have a lower center of gravity and better balance and they stay on WAY better. Highly recommend this set, though I've never used it battery powered, only with the wall adapter that came with the Cars track.

Fun but no Turbo!

My 5 yr old loves it and has been playing with it all day. I just realized that on Carerra’s website, their Mario kart version has a Turbo Button on the triggers but the one I just got from Amazon Doesn’t .

Fun for the whole family!

I bought this for my son's 7th birthday and we love it. I remember my first slot car track as a kid and this is top notch in my book. My only criticism is that the controllers could be designed better. They're ergonomical and fit a kids hand really well, but it's difficult to determine the right amount of pressure to push the button without making the car zoom off the track. I also think the wire contacts on the bottom of the cars could be designed better to prevent them from splaying out and losing contact. These are just my concerns to make it the most enjoyable for a kid so they don't lose interest. Would recommend and buy again.

Idk who enjoys this set more my son or myself

Bought on for my son and one set for his best friend, they both love them! The cop car lights go on while it’s driving and the cars go fast too! There’s no governing system on them so it teaches the younger kids to kind of have to control the speed a bit more. I wouldn’t suggest it for any younger than 4 though.

Good as extension, not this much as first game

I got this because I wanted to get the jump, and some other parts as extensions for my first track. First of all, the cars are really light and compact. It may be good, but for this kind of game, it's not because it has less stability on jump. The jump itself is not really well designed, and is hard to land without making it perfectly. I remember when I was young, we had a jump, and it was way better. Easier, but not too much, just perfect. This one is a bit too hard. Moreover, the whole track is hard : sometimes, there are contact-less assembly making cars stopping on the track for no reason at all. It is a bit bothering. It still desserve some love because honnestly, this is fun. If you manage to build a good track (no stop) by bending contactors, and if you have stable cars, or experience, it is cool. But honnestly, I don't recommend this as "first buy". Look for other products directly taking current from outlet instead of batteries, and having real cars. As extension set, I'd say this is REALLY perfect. Curves, right tracks, jump, and other pieces in case of broken ones. And the box is perfectly designed. It's the second box I got from this brand, and both are AWESOME. Every game should be designed with boxes arranged so perfectly. Especially some board games. TL;DR : Lots of fun as extension set (jump, tracks, sticks, roadwalls), but some drawbacks (contact-less connectors requiring bending as other brand products, non stable cars, batteries needed, short circuit).

Missing Parts - Can’t Use.

This race track didn’t come with the appropriate battery compartment piece. There is no way to power this toy. It is supposed to be the battery operated version (as the box in the picture says) but instead it came with the piece that supports the electrical transformer version of the toy, but didn’t include the transformer (which is an extra add-on). My son is very upset on Christmas morning because he can’t play with this toy. Extremely disappointed.

A great gift idea

Our 5 year old loved this Christmas gift and so did the whole family. The cars are great - they speed along the track quite easily. No trouble setting it up or taking it apart again. Worth the money. Uses D batteries and so far, they're holding up well. Too bad the electric adapter costs almost as much as the race track set itself.

Lots of fun

Good quality. Well made. Some parts are fragile and you need to be caerfull when assembling. The tracks are about 3ft x 4ft when assembled. They are not made to be assembled and disassembled every time you want to play. So that means that it will occupy a space even when not in use !!! My grand kid just love it. He cant wait to come and visit so he can play with it. Compared to other games kids play with for a few times and then leave them, this is worth the money.

It's loads of fun

This is so great, from our you g five year old son, to me, the dad, the whole family , his sister and momma, we all love this game, I am looking to buy more track now, to see how interesting and more fun this awesum toy is!!! And having it with battery, is so good so when the power goes out, it can keep the kids occupied in case of emergency.
