Did so much more than I ever expected!

My dog has a habit of thinking he can reach anything he smells underground by digging a hole with his paws...but mostly his nose. Besides trying to catch critters he also likes to use his snout to open and close the door when he visits my parents. After my son became very sick and we had to quickly relocate to the hospital lodgings far away, and our dog had to stay with my parents for over 8 months. When we returned, despite their best efforts, and many trips to the vet, his nose was very torn up and an absolute mess. He was always on some sort of med to keep it from getting infected but as far as healing on the outside, it was a battle none of us could seem to win. It was heartbreaking to see him like this and even more frustrating that nothing seemed to work. When I say we tried everything, I am not embellishing. All the "sure things," were a lost cause. We honestly started to believe it was never going to fully heal until a friend mentioned to try Burts Bees. I am not going to lie, when I first opened it, I assumed it was going to be just like everything else as it looked very similar. I had my doubts but I also had nothing left to lose. I also should include that by now, understandably my dog HATED when anyone came near or touched his nose. In a last ditch effort I began like all the rest. I would give him a treat, put a dab of lotion of the furthest part of his nose because the tip was far too sensitive. I would then give him another treat as a reward because it also gave a few extra minutes for the lotion to soak in before I knew his long tongue would attempt to try and lick it off. The unique and best part about using Burts Brees products is the natural ingredients they use. I didn't have to worry about there being any harmful chemicals to upset his already very senesitive belly. I very much wish I took before and after pictures because after just the first week I noticed a significant difference. By the first month, I was ecstatic by the results. His wounds and cracks had closed up and his nose was on its way to looking normal and being wet again. By month two this lotion did what NOTHING else came close to doing! The bonus was we had barely used 1/4 of the bottle and we had plenty left. I noticed the cream stated it was also good for the pads of their paws. At this point my dog was perfectly comfortable with the daily drill so I decided to incorporate putting it on his paws as well. He was a little weirded out at first but at the cost of getting an extra treat it was worth it. Plus I truely believe he knew this was the same stuff that made his nose feel better so how bad could it be. Again, I wish I had taken pictures for comparison! After a week the small cracks in his pads looked better and after a month I am not sure whose paws/hands were softer, his or mine! I am truely grateful for this product. I imagine we still would be fighting a losing battle had we not found it.

Helped my little chihuahua

My little monster was having issues with hot spots on her back. Looking at her you could tell how miserable she was. A local vet told me they could prescribe something or I could use this at a much cheaper cost. Her coat is much better now. She is more active then she was. She even seems happier.

Good product, but makes dirt stick more after

Both my dog and I like this dry shampoo. It smells nice, not fragrance, just like the ingredients.. it makes her fur soft and shiny, and I think she likes the way it feels but that could also be because it's usually when I use the comb..then she gets rubbed .. I've used it on her stinky face by spraying it on the paper towel (no comb there) and on her sensitive belly skin. No more stinky face! It does seem like she gets dirty faster afterwards though.. like little particles are sticking to her fur. All in all I like it. My dog hates baths, and sometimes gets stuff on her fur that makes my skin irritated too. Ivy maybe? So this is nice for a quick clean that she actually enjoys. Plus we can do it on the couch. She's a pit mix. So combing through to get the filth out and product all the way through doesn't take that long. If you have a long haired dog it could be a longer process.

Good for sensitive skin

It does not have a strong smell but it does clean my dog. Has natural ingredients which is a great thing so it’s not harsh on his skin.

Good product

This product has no scent which is fine with me. It soothes dry itchy skin and my dogs tolerate it well. The top broke off on the first day so the sprayer stopped working. I poured a small amount in my hand and rubbed down itchy spots. Works great.

Finally no rash , yay dogo !

Great Product ! After trying several other brands that caused my poor dog to have a terrible rash that would bleed, we finally found something that works. We use this with the Burt bees natural oatmeal shampoo. Highly recommend for dogs with sensitive skin.

Best waterless dog shampoo

I have tried several shampoos and this one by far is the best. There is no powder residue and the scent is subtle not at all overpowering. After a day at the daycare, my dog smells like sweat and this removes it instantly. It also helps his coat with the dryness, perfect in hot dry weather.
