Keeps my head from lolling...

Finally, I've found a pillow that keeps my head from rolling to the side while I'm sleeping. I had a craniocervical fusion a few months ago and if my head rolls to the side and stays for long, I wake with a very stiff, painful neck! Previously, I tried a travel-size (needs to be low profile) memory foam neck pillow and a travel-size pillow with a hole in it for my neck to rest in. The memory foam cervical pillow didn't stop the head roll at all. The "hole" pillow was nice but too high (it was made for side sleeping). I was late to trying the Bucky because I'd remembered having one 30 years ago and not liking it. Of course, then I was 20-something with no health problems! The buckwheat hulls can be pushed around to make an indentation for your head and they stay in place until you deliberately rearrange them (or pick up the pillow).

I call this my Emotional Support Pillow

I love this pillow way more than I expected. I carry it with me around the house wherever I’m going to sit/sleep. It’s extremely good for displacing my “fidgeting” energy. I’ll absently rearrange the pellets while watching tv. Or put it under my chin and just veg, something I never do with an ordinary pillow. This pillow, in your lap, it reminds me of having a cat except without the shedding, hair balls and litter box. My love for this pillow is beyond human understanding.

Perfect toddler pillow

I bought this for my 2 1/2 year old as her first pillow. She loves it! I love that it's the right mix of firm and soft. She called it her "bean bag pillow" since it kinda sounds like a bean bag. She generally seems to prefer the millet side. This pillow does come with a warning that it's for ages 3 and up because the millet and buckwheat are just in zippered areas and could be opened and gotten into. My plan to discourage this was to put the end with the zipper on the far side of the zipper of the cover, and then put another cover on top of that. My plan didn't work as envisioned since one end of the pillow has the zipper/opening for the millet and the other end has the zipper/opening for the buckwheat. However, it still hasn't been an issue at all for my daughter, I haven't even doubled up the pillowcase because she hasn't been interested in the zipper. Also note that Amazon sells a pillowcase for this specific pillow, but the pillow does actually come with that case, so you don't need to buy that unless you want an extra.

Better than old Bucky pillow

I have severe neck problems and like the small travel size buckwheat pillows like this better than larger ones. I use the buckwheat pillow with a regular pillow and sort of wad the buckwheat pillow up to support my head and neck. Larger buckwheat pillows are too hard to move around and adjust. I like these small pillows so much I always take them with me when I travel, so the small size is great for packing. I bought a small Bucky pillow about 10 years ago and it was great, but was finally falling apart so I tried out other buckwheat pillows as replacements. The larger, heavier pillows were like trying to sleep on a sandbag and I didn't like them. So I finally bought this as a replacement. The size is perfect for me, just like the old Bucky pillow. And the dual millet/buckwheat is a great improvement on the old "all buckwheat" pillow. Extremely comfortable. I am very satisfied with it. I've had it about 4 months and so far it seems to be holding up well.

Millet/Buckwheat Pillow

This pillow is exactly what I was looking for in months. I had the same size, with millet filling only, since - well, since ever. This kind with double pockets for millets and buckwheats is even better. The only reason I give that pillow only four stars is because it is filled TOO much! But after taking out from each compartment a certain amount, it is mostly flat and the way I like it. The 2 compartments are a hit. Some reviewers complained about the size indicated not being correct but it is when you measure it flat out. Very good product for a very good price.

Great product if you get the chance to use it!

Best sleeping or relaxing product ever! Conforms to head and neck, firm but very comfortable. I thought I ordered it, waited for it to come, forgot about it, and then decided that I never ordered it at all. But I could have sworn . . . Then it occurred to me to check my order history, silly me. Sure enough I had ordered it and at the same time as a new printer and cartridges. Furthermore, they were all delivered the same day. What? I never received a pillow! It never came! So, now I’m out $30.00.

Bucky pillows are exceptional

I have used Bucky pillows for years and they hold up very well. The quality is unsurpassed by any other buckwheat pillow. I am so glad I could find this easily on Amazon. The one I had been using for the past five years is still in good condition and now is on my couch where I nap everyday. I would never want to be without one. I take the travel size when I go out of town because I am spoiled and cannot stand any other type pillow.

came with hole.

I have owned several Bucky pillows and love them. However, I am very unhappy with this purchase. I took the pillow case off, for the first time. Although the pillow case is in perfect condition, the liner has a hole and the filling is escaping. Unfortunately, I didn't use the pillow for the first few couple of month, and by the time I saw this, it was past the return time. There is no way I would have opened it to check the liner when it appeared fine from the outside. Through Amazon, there seems no way to contact anyone about this problem, so the review is the only way to let others know to take off the pillow case and check the pillow liner for holes when you receive it. Additionally, the combination of millet with the buckwheat removes the molding and flexibility of the buckwheat. It is much lighter, doesn't form to head as well as having all buckwheat. I will probably not purchase anymore Bucky pillows.

Very small, but you won't regret owning this pillow even for normal non travel use.

The pillow is VERY small. I knew it was a travel pillow when I bought it so I don't have much room to complain about that. Now, having said that I had a nap yesterday after receiving it and I slept with it last night. It is very comfortable and I didn't wake up with my usual sore neck. It's small, but it really only has to fit your head and then some. I do travel now and again so it's going to come in handy. I really wish Bucky made the Duo in the regular sizes, or at least millet hull. From what I can tell their other regular size pillows like this are just buckwheat hull filling. I am attaching a pic to show size. If not for travel, would be great for kids. I love it nonetheless and I am impressed with just two sleeps.

Bucky gives me the neck support that i need

I absolutely love this pillow! I took it on a recent vacation and it fits into my carryon. Ended up using it for back support as well and great for a head rest when doing floor exercises. Would not leave home on a trip without it. Perfect support without being too hard or too soft. Wish it came with an extra pillowcase. It is very small but perfectly adequate. Use it every night now.

My favourite travel pillow

Perfect size for fitting in my suitcase. I have always used a regular size Bucky pillow at home , so I am happy that I now have a travel sized one!
