Exactly what I was looking for

Working on this for my new granddaughter’s room and am thoroughly enjoying it. Beautiful colors and easy to follow pattern. Only surprise was how huge the chart was. Can’t wait to see it framed and hanging up.

Starts with MUCH frustration

I have purchased MANY cross stitch kits and NEVER before received a kit where the floss wasn't sorted by name or symbol. The first hour was spent trying to sort 3 shades of pink, 3 blue, 3 purple, etc., and match them with names. If this is the standard for Bucilla kit assembly I likely won't buy another of this brand. Also, I am very careful about not wasting floss, but I realize as other reviewers have mentioned I am short in 2 colors of floss and I will need to try to match those colors. The iridescent floss used for the sparkles around the wand are difficult to deal with, but, in the end, it did come out absolutely beautiful.

Fabric. Stuff and very hard to stitch thru. Pattern hard to follow but lovely when finished

Can't do Counted Cross Stitch

Returned because the person I ordered it for can't do counted cross stitch. Would be nice if this was a printed pattern on the fabric.

Cute but wouldn’t recommend

Although I am enjoying making this for my first granddaughter I can say I will go back to Dimension kits rather than Bucilla. As stated in other reviews, the thread is horrible! It shreds so easily so must be old or subpar. I have done A LOT of counted cross stitch before but NEVER did one with half or quarter stitches. This was not explained well in the instructions. Luckily I had a friend who could explain how to do this.

Not good quality

The cross stitch looks beautiful but the quartz of the product is low. I have a glue stain in the middle of my fabric that came with it. The thread also frays horribly. I can barely complete a section without the thread coming apart. The treads also didn’t come labeled so you have to figure out which thread goes where which would be hard for people who are color blind. I don’t recommend getting this unless you are more experienced and can deal with these problems.

loved it

It was a great price and arrived quickly. The kit had everything needed to complete the project. I worked very hard on it and managed to finish it in 2 months. I found it easiest to use the sparkle string after I did the yellow, it was an extra step but we'll worth it. My only problem is with the design because it doesn't include space for more than the date and thats just because of personal preference, I like to include the baby stats (birth weight, length, and birth time) so I included them in the bottom of the scroll. The person I made it for loved it!

Beautiful kit, easy to follow and complete

I am not an experienced cross stitch and i found this kit to be very easy to follow and complete. It is beautiful once complete and my daughter will have something to treasure that was made with love, although i did have a few choice words when i was faced with knots in my thread!! that is in no way aimed at this product just my inexperience. I would love to do something else now and i would buy this make of kit again. The only comments i would have is it took me awhile to sort the colours as i had no way of matching them up, but once i got them sorted it was easy to complete. Again this was my first kit so not sure if this is the norm. also I did run out of one of the colours (light tan) but not sure if that's just the way i have used it or not .

Beautiful Kit

This is a gorgeous cross stitch kit. I made it for my Grandaughter’s first birthday. I adapted it slightly to make it fit the frame better and I managed to frame it myself. I did the writing in black as the pink looked wishy washy in my opinion. I didn’t stress too much over the fractional stitches as the effect is meant to be a sort of water colour appearance. I’ve since done another Bothy Threads Kit and that was the same. Def my favourite cross stitch company at the moment. The kit didn’t look much until the backstitching was done so I would advise anyone, if they get despondent, to back stitch a small area to spur you on. I had threads left over so used them and part of the design to make another gift.

Beautiful

Thoroughly enjoyed stitching this for my new grand daughter. Was easy to follow for someone who has cross stitched before. The sparkly thread was very tricky to thread and sew with so gave up but still looks stunning. Just need to frame it.
