A bit expensive for a basic backpack
I think the marketing on this product is better than anything else...at the end of the day, it's a pretty basic backpack but the packaging and marketing surrounding this and surrounding Brooks England in general, makes you feel like this is supposed to be high end. I wonder what their profit margin is? It does have a clean look though and goes well with some outfits. It's simple in design, and if you have the money to comfortably shell out $220 to for a backpack, then go for it! I used my bonus points for this.

This backpack just arrived and looks great. The canvas looks like it will handle a lot of wear without problems. One star off as the color is not as pictured. The detail was not brown/beige but bright red/beige! Still looks great though.

Looks like it sometimes not good enough to that price
Its expencive, but epic. Looks like it sometimes not good enough to that price, but it's not like that. Every detail (even it doesn't look like ideal) was made with love to this daypack. It's not general-purpose (there're no pockets for paper work or notebook) but due to this fact it's very minimalistic and you should to think how to organize your stuff by yourself. It's not a limitation, it's a freedom.

Top notch quality and style - loved this pack the minute I got it. Large size fits 15" MacBook Pro. Probably not something you'd want to hike with or carry a super heavy load, since the straps aren't padded, but great for commuting.

Brooks Asphalt day pack
Great bag and esthetically pleasing as well as functional. Brooks quality. The Asphalt color gives it a discrete look. I've had only for a couple weeks, have been using it almost everyday. Strap work well to keep weight well balanced. Shoulder straps could use some padding, but still worth it.

the size is perfect for me (1.64m) and for my needs...can fit my mac air, a couple of books, bottle water, and other stuff... its very spacious yet very compact. Most importantly, it's sturdy. i love its plain look, if you like sober, this is right for you.

Schicker Rucksack mit kleiner Schwäche
Der Rucksack von Brooks ist sowohl schick als auch robust und einigermaßen angenehm zu tragen, wenn man davon absieht, dass man ihn nicht zu schwer bepacken sollte da die Trageriemen leider nicht gepolstert sind. Kleiner Schwachpunkt, den ich zu dem Preis und von der renommierten Firma Brooks nicht erwartet hätte ist die Naht, die die beiden kleinen Innenfächer trennt. Bei meinem ersten Rucksack ist die Naht einfach aufgegangen, den Ersatz behandle ich jetzt sehr schonend (was bei einem robusten Alltags-Rucksack ja auch nicht unbedingt Sinn der Sache ist) aber so wirklich belastbar ist die Naht auch hier wieder nicht.
