Nice Fan Very Sensitive to Humidity

The settings are in the fan. At first it wasn't set right and the fan ran and ran. After resetting the controls it works nicely.

1.5 years in and it's flashing

it was a bit hard to get the wiring figured out to a single switch, but eventually it worked out. they have adjustments for a single switch. but after buying in Dec 2021 (now April 2023) The light is flashing and now we have to figure out what to do with it. Disappointed that this seems to be not uncommon looking through the comments. We may try to contact Broan but I wary of it now.

Great product worth the money we paid

Like the features and function, noise is tolerable depending how far away you are from the fan at night. Easy to install, you will have to buy duct work and connect it in the attic to either an existing fan flute or make a new on in the roof, we used 25ft flexible duct 4" to a 90° 4" connector and spliced it into our existing bathroom fan duct. LED light is great nice and bright white but not too bright. Final fitment is good and its low profile works well on the ceiling.

Works great...wait now the fan stopped working...let's call Broa...nope it's working fine

This thing looks great and combines a nice light with a great fan. This was replacing a 30-yr old exhaust fan in a bathroom so immediately this thing moves more air with much less noise. So far, 5-star review This is where it gets weird. This device is designed to be used with multiple wall switches. One for the light and another for the fan(humidity sensing circuit). I don't have multiple switches so I wired both light and fan to turn on with a single switch, which is something others have discussed and I even found a Broan wiring diagram on a forum somewhere. This worked fine for a month and then the fan stopped working for about a week. I checked the wiring...nothing. So I went through Amazon who put me in touch with Broan but by this time the fan came back. Since then (4 months or so) the fan has stopped working a handful of times but all for just a few minutes/hours. At this point, I don't know if there is a short, if the fan is defective, or if maybe the wiring diagram was wrong and somehow the humidity sensing circuit is keeping the fan from spinning up. I would still recommend this to a lot of people but if you are like me with only one switch, you might want to reconsider.

Ran with low humidity readings

I had a Broan fan and light combo in my bathroom, but thought I would upgrade to one with a humidistat since family members either didn't turn on the fan for showers or, if they did, would forget to turn it off. I had some difficulty removing the old unit (as it had been installed during construction) so had to do some framing and dry wall repair to get the proper opening size for the new unit. Once that was accomplished the install was relatively easy. Once installed, however, the unit seemed to have a find of it own and the fan would run at low humidity levels (it was Sept so we had AC on sometimes...and a separate humidistat would read as low as 65% and the unit would still cycle on and off). Consequently, I called technical support and the guy I talked so was helpful and sent me a replacement control unit (the triangular part with the humidity and timing adjustment screws). On receipt it was an easy replacement, but unfortunately it didn't seem to help. By this time it was Oct and I had started heating the house and I didn't want to be wasting heated air out of the house at low humidity levels thinking this would drive up my utility bills. So I called technical support a second time but didn't appear to be getting any insights regarding what I might do and eventually the call seemed to drop... Subsequently, I have given up and cut the brown wire that powers the humidity controller and am pretty much back where I started. I do like the appearance of the unit and am okay with the light, it is also quieter than my previous unit so I guess, overall, I'm a little bit better off. Based on my experience I wouldn't purchase this particular unit and I concur with an earlier reviewer that suggested skipping the humidity sensor altogether. I think putting putting the fan on a timer may have been a better approach.

white light and noise level

This ventilation rate is 110 CFM thus would be noisy when on. Also, the LED light is not warm but a bluish white. If your bathroom is not austere, this light may clash with your lighting plan.

It looks nice but the electrical

The look of this is great but the way the wiring is is a bit obscure. We bought this for our rental suite but comparing it to the one we bought for our bathroom. I regret not spending the money and buying a better one. This one does not come with a wall switch. Perhaps we missed this info while reading the info before purchasing. And now finding one is a challenge where we live. The way they have you wire it seems a bit obscure. And don't have it so that the moisture sensor bypasses the switch so that it always remain on like our other one. That might be because it's not connected to a app. There's been quite a bit of other cuffufal with this fan. And if we didn't spend the time installing it and needing it asap for our rented then we would have definitely returned it and spent more money on a different fan.
