Very tough padlock

Had to replace a padlock that was stolen by the US Postal Service. Good, tough padlock and at a reasonable price. I recommend this lock to anyone needing a strong, weather resistant padlock.

BRINKS - 50mm Commercial Laminated Steel Weather Resistant Padlock with 2” Shackle . Using this for a chain lock for bikes on a hitch on the back of the car. Very well made it seems, smooth to lock and unlock also.

Perfect for moving truck

Bought this to lock our moving truck (Penske rental) since we had two nights where all our earthly possessions would be in there. This thing is massive and heavy. It fit the truck lock perfectly and it was a 15 foot moving truck from Penske but I think Uhaul/Budget etc have the same locking mechanism. We didn’t encounter any inclement weather during our move but it seems like it would hold up pretty well. Gave us peace of mind knowing our stuff was locked up securely. It came with 2 keys and there’s a little plastic cap over the keyhole, not sure what the purpose of that is but it’s there. Overall a great purchase and now we have it for our next move!

Adequate lock but not ideal for outdoor use

I purchased this product for outdoor use. Within the first two days of low temperatures and a slight dusting of snow and the lock has already frozen up. The small cover to keep water out of the actual lock tends to freeze making it very difficult to open and get unlocked

Not the best or worst. Decent price point at the time of purchase. It didn't hold up in weather for a 2 day move from TX to WI. lock started rusting after having gotten rained on. Would use for indoor purposes only but returned it.

Extremely tough locks. Don’t lose the keys!!!

I bought 3 of these padlocks to secure packing cubes during a long distance move. The keys disappeared and I asked the moving company to cut the locks for me so I didn’t have to hire a locksmith. The hardware on the door of the pod gave out before the locks and eventually a machinist removed the rest of them. Apparently they were a real pain in the butt and nearly ruined his tools. The moving company were pretty impressed and guessed these were $50 locks. 10/10 for sturdiness and theft-proof.

Nice looking locks

(Day one review) Really nice looking locks. Nice sliding closure for key holes. Non-marring plastic body, which is what I was wanting. We’ll see how they hold up to weather.

Bar was bigger than expected.

Ok so this is an amazing product but this thing is MASSIVE. And not the lock, but the bar. I was going to use it at GoodLife and at my work locker but it was way too big. And since it’s brinks I’m not gonna attempt to grind it down ????. Really good product tho, outdoor use only tho. Also very weatherproof.

Bigger than I thought it would be

This lock was much bigger than I thought it would be but that's no fault of the product. I gave mine to a friend to lock up a large metal chain. The product itself looks and feels like it can withstand anything. My friend told me it works great.

Awesome lock. I’ve had the unfortunate experience of leaving the key at home, in a another province, and needed to remove the lock. It took a ton of effort, and time. I purchased this lock again.
