Yaba Daba Doo

The drill is the next size up from the one that I have had for over 20 years which still works. The new drill is a power house in comparison. I'm very happy about the purchase.

Great hammerdrill

I used a friend's rh745 and it worked great for drilling 1 1/2 inch holes. That took about 5 minutes to go 8 inches into large rock. This one took 4 minutes to go 16 inches deep. What a beast.

Works like a champ

If well maintained this tool should last for years. It has some weight but much needed when driving ground rods.

We drilled holes for T-posts in solid rock!

We live on a big rock outcropping. A fence was something we only dreamed of, until we got this hammer drill! We now have 2.5 acres fenced as a result and a dog that could not possibly be happier! We purchased a 1 1/2 inch bit and were able to drill perfectly sized holes for the T-posts in solid rock. The Bosch drill made an impossible job, possible! It is a real work horse. Let the weight of the drill do the heavy work. We have used it to break up the tops of rocks in our driveway (with a big chisel bit) and a few other big jobs. Very satisfied with the performance of the drill.

Breaks concrete better than the big boys

The media could not be loaded. My framer came over with his huge jackhammer, but he couldn't finish opening the floor slab as his arms got sore from the vibrations after an hour. To finish the project, I bought my own that could also serve as a drill. This Bosch RH850VC seems to cut through the concrete faster than the large back-breaking models! I can easily finish the job and cut through the rest of the slab. What's most impressive is that it feels smooth and comfortable to operate. I could barely feel any vibrations. It is not nearly as loud as the big units, but seems to break faster. With all the other jackhammers I run to get the earplugs, but this was quieter so I forgot to use the earplugs. Here's a video.

All the power you need.

This hammer drill performed exceptionally well. It had plenty of power and made quick work of the anchors I installed, as well as the tile flooring I had to remove.

Go BIG or go home!!!

This hammer drill had to be worth every penny… at last moment our company was asked to cut holes in the floor for 12 doors with dorma recessed closers, (sales who contracted us was reluctant to mention that the walls and doors we were installing had these recessed closers). Normally this is done by a concrete cutting company hired by the general contractor, but such a little time to schedule and do so. After plunge cutting the concrete with a 7 inch diamond wet saw blade in a Skil saw, the hammer drill in chip/chisel mode made little time of cleaning the holes out with the right chisel tips and bushing tools.

Industrial Strength/Quality

Tired of renting a capable hammer drill so purchased this unit. Out of the case bored 16 holes 1" x 16" deep into granite. This unit easily competes with a Hilti TE70 but at 1/4 the price! I'm a home owner with a large property mostly on shield rock, and with many projects planned I want to be sure my tools are not going to let me down! I could have purchased a SD Max drill at a lower price, but at the end of the day you get what you pay for. This is a solid tool I expect will outlast my granite drilling days!

This tool drilled 170 ten inchs deep 5/8s holes in a 40x60' foot concert salb in one weekend with no problem.Verey stroung machine. The only problem I wish it had a revice button so that it wound help to remove a jam drillbit But if you buy a drill bit for cutting rebar steel you will not have eneny problem

Works as expected

I’m drilling 1-1/4 in holes in solid rock. This tool makes easy work of that. The good point about this tool is that it can be use for long time without tripping the circuit breaker or blowing up you generator.

Lots of power for the home grade guys

Strong reliable machine. Drilled many holes over the years and she's still pulling strong, saved lots of money buying this and not renting. Lots of power, a little heavy. Has both rotary and jackhammer. Would recommend

Excellent drill!

This bosch hammer works excellent. I purchased both the RH850VC for coring and the RH328VC for installing anchors. Both drills exceeded my expectations and I saved $460 over the price I got from "the big box store".
