Perfect Design, Pumps Efficiently - Updated 2023 Review
Pumps MUCH faster than my old cover pump. (rated 800 GPH) Used on an above ground pool cover. Just heavy enough to sink slightly into the cover without too much stress on it. Automatically turns On/Off with built in float switch. Nice long power cord. Make sure (if there is a lot of debris in the water) that when you finish, you clean the base filter (very easy to remove) each time. It catches a lot of junk and protects the pump. If you fail to clean it and it gets clogged, the pumps GPH will be severely decreased, and could stress the pumps motor. UPDATE: Just felt it necessary to post an updated review of this pool cover pump. As I write this review this original pump is currently pumping the rain water off my pool cover. Did I fail to mention that it's currently May of 2023 ?!! Seven years and still pumping.

Works for awhile then stops. If you return company will give a replacement.

Has priming issues
I bought this about 6 months ago and I haven’t used it until Monday Memorial Day. I put it in a container about 12 inches tall and the pump just sitting there running and nothing coming out of the hose that’s 6 feet long. I can lift it out of the container maybe 1 or 2 times and it will prime up and pump great until the container is empty and shuts off but when the container fills back up it won’t prime up and pump until I lift it back up and down in the container a couple of times.

Junk. Works a few times then dies and warranty is NOT honored by Amazon as it is supposed to be.
This product does not last for more than a few uses. I do not recommend purchasing. The one year warranty is a joke. It is not honored. As per the manufacturers notes the seller AMAZON is responsible for the warranty. They would not replace and actually suggested that I try reselling the non-working item on their marketplace.

lasted two months quit working
horrible product quality and of course my return date expired three weeks ago. A real rip off from amazon, it cost $85.00
