Make Sure To Measure Your Pot

This is a fantastic item. I bought this one too large, but the 11" fit my pot perfectly. I didn't measure the inside where I needed the insert. Just take note that you do need a tapered pot for this to work at all.

Works great. Using half as much potting soil and the pot is much lighter!

Saving money with the ability to reuse pots

I have many large pots. Now I am able to reuse them for smaller plants that don’t need a large container. Great idea!

Simple, effective, and it’ll pay for itself!

I had some tall round planters that I wanted to plan some mums in. When I went to look at how deep they were, I realized that it was going to take a ton of soil. After heading to my local garden center, I’d spotted these and figured I’d give them a shot. They’re perfect. Not only are they super effective and well made, but the price is totally fair too! Considering how much soil it would’ve taken to fill my planters, this easily paid for itself already! Pro-tips: if you are using these on a tall planter, make sure to put some heavy objects inside at the bottom so that it’s not too top heavy. I just grabbed several rocks. Also, if you’re worried your soil will just was through the holes in this, get some fiberglass drywall tape and cut to fit (see pictures). This won’t break down and stays in place with the adhesive. Alternatively you can use landscaping fabric, but this is much simpler in my opinion.

Saves soil and makes moving plants a breeze.

Tried using styrofoam pellets in pots in order to make pots light ing weight and to conserve soil. Worked okay, but these inserts do both tasks so much more efficiently. Reduced need for excess soil make it easy to move tomato or pepper pots from sun to shade if it appears they are getting "too hot." Reduced weight also facilitates the movement of flowers pots to shelter ahead of approaching severe weather.
