Measure your child’s feet, then Size Up

I think it may be common (dancer) knowledge to size up. So, measure your child’s food, use the sizing chart, then size up again! As long as you find the right size, these are great ballet shoes. Perfect ballet pink. Wore indoors, on wooden floors for dance class by my first, stored a couple years. & Now being worn by my younger child. Good quality for the price.

Good quality, true to size, but seem a little wide

Having two girls in ballet, I have ordered many different shoes, mostly from Capezio. I was finding that the Capezio shoes were not lasting that long, so I decided to switch brands and order Bloch. I ordered these shoes for my 7 year old who wears a size 13 in kids. It is always hard to order ballet shoes online because so many different brands have way different sizing, but after reading reviews on these shoes, I decided to order true to size, so a 13 it was! The shoe fits great, true to size for sure! But, I can only give 4 out of 5 stars for the following: *The shoes are a little bit wider than expected, and since there is no string on these shoes, you can't pull them to make them tighter. *I thought that I would like having the elastics pre sewn, but again, kind of wish they weren't so I it would be easier to adjust the size. The quality is great, they look very well made compared to Capezio, so I am hopeful that they will last a lot longer. I ordered these same shoes for my 13 year old, and she did not like them however. I think it has to do with that they seem to just be a wider ballet shoe, and so when she pointed her foot, it was not a nice crisp point because the shoes are a little baggy. Maybe I ordered a wider fit and didn't know it, but there isn't any information about the difference between a 13D, 13M and just 13.

Beautifully Made

After searching for a criss cross pair of ballet slippers where the elastic was already attached, I came across these and a much cheaper no name pair. These have a beautiful shape to them. They are canvas with thick leather split soles that I'm sure will wear nicely. There's a soft elastic all the way around the shoe. I also like that there is no bow at the front to constantly tie and retie and fiddle with. I'm absolutely in love with them. The only problem is that they are too big. I wasn't sure what to expect as different reviews and websites say different things for ballet slippers. For example, my daughter wears a 7.5 wide in stride rite toddlers, and I ordered a 13.5 in this Bloch pro-elastic slipper and it was way too big. The cheaper pair I purchased was a size 9.5 and the fit was perfect, but not much room to go. That pair was also canvas with criss cross straps. This Bloch pair is so well made. I'm sad to have to send them back. But I'll be searching online for a smaller pair. Buy these. The quality is there.

Fits Small

I gave it three stars because they run small and I’m going to have to return them. I ordered a size up and they came in even smaller than the first pair. Something with the sizing or at least what was sent was way off. They look like great shoes but the sizing is all wrong.

Exactly as Needed

My little dancer has had several growth spurts recently, and she seems to outgrow her shoes in a month or less, even the ones with extra room for growth. I don't know how long these will last, but right now, she's pleased as punch with the fit, and enjoyed showing them off in class.

The best shoes for her, once they've been broken in

These are my daughters, for her classical ballet class. She likes them. At first, they dug into her heel badly. She wore them around the house and that helped stretch them out. Now, they're her favorite shoes. They seem to mold to her foot better than the leather ones she has as backup. Also, I ordered according to her size in regular shoes. If I'd gone smaller, there's no way these would have fit her. If there is any doubt about fit, I'd go to a local specialty store before purchasing online.

Straps fit too tight, even on the widest width

Good quality shoe, but the crossover strap was a no go for us. My daughter wears a size 1.5 and doesn't have an especially wide foot, but we got the 1.5 C because I didn't want the straps to be too tight on her. Unfortunately, the size 1.5 was too short on the foot and the straps were incredibly tight, even for it being a wide shoe. Her foot was bulging out around it, and she has skinny feet. We returned these.
