Max runtime on one charge is 11 minutes?

I guess if you need a cordless hand-vac for small messes occasionally, then this isn't a bad deal. It DOES work, but it seems less than ideal to me. First off, the charging cable is a proprietary one, so if you lose it, you're screwed. It also doesn't seem to have a very sturdy cord so I can see the cord will eventually get damaged and frayed. Am I going to be able to find a replacement charging cord? It only fits in one direction with the angled cable pointing to one side of the vacuum, but I really don't know why they couldn't have gone with a more traditional charging cable. On the subject of charging, it has a blue light that lights up when you plug it in to charge, but I haven't seen any indication of it being full. How much time does it need to charge up? I don't know. It discharges quickly (11 minutes max) but how long am I supposed to leave it on the charger if I need to go back and finish the job? It would be nice to have some indication of the battery level. They could have had it flash when charging and stop flashing when full -- Easy. The whole thing isn't that big, so the dust trap will fill up fast, but it does pick up some hair. It also has a built-in attachment that flips out to add a brush to the nozzle area so you can help loosen some material to be sucked up. That's really nice since I would always lose these attachments if I had to put them on myself. It's rather loud clocking in at almost 100 decibels right near the device, so I guess that 11 minute run time is looking better. You wouldn't want to run this thing for very long without some ear plugs or something. It's not as bad as a leaf-blower or anything, but I bet most of the sound is in the high frequency range, and my old ears are already damaged there so I can't hear how loud the high-pitched whine is. Overall it's good for the occasional small mess, but the short runtime and lack of battery indicator makes it difficult to use repeatedly in a short timeframe. If you're prone to make messes (or have kids) then you probably want something bigger, or not reliant on battery power.

Good hand vac

Black and Decker is my go-to brand when I've purchased hand vacs in the past. I've been using the same one for probably ten years, and it's been great. This hand vac is right up there. Great for quick clean ups! I hope it will last for years to come!

Good Quality Hand Vac at a Great Value!

The media could not be loaded. I was excited to get another hand vac since we have multiple cats and we liked being able to have a 2nd hand vac in a different room to clean up after the litter and fur they track everywhere. I did compare this Black+Decker Reviva hand vac against the Shark hand vac we already owned to see if there was any difference in performance and found that the Black+Decker Reviva performed just as well as the Shark. Even thought the Shark hand vac was smaller in size, the Black+Decker Reviva hand vac felt more lightweight due to it being made from recycled materials. The Black+Decker did seem to have a larger volume dust bowl so it was also able to hold more before emptying it. The Black+Decker Reviva hand vac does not charge by sitting on a charging station stand like the Shark does however. Instead, you have to plug and unplug it each time you use it/charge it and there isn't even a stand or some way to mount this hand vac. We just have ours leaning up against the wall for now. Performance-wise, the Black+Decker Reviva did a good job sucking up excess litter, hair, fur, and dander from our hardwood floor. It also did a decent job picking up some hair and litter from carpeted surfaces like a bathroom mat and rug. When it comes to emptying the dust bowl, the Shark wins because it's just a button you'd push and the dust cap flies open to empty all of the contents directly into your trash can. With the Black+Decker Reviva, you would need to manually twist the top part off to access the dust bowl and then pull out the filter before being able to dump out the contents from within. It was a dusty process. As for the noise level, Black+Decker Reviva was a tad bit louder than the Shark hand vac but it wasn't bothersome. When it comes to value, the Black+Decker Reviva overwhelmingly wins as it's just under $50 (before tax) compared to the Shark hand vac which we purchased at Costco for $99 (before tax). Since both hand vacs performed just about the same, the Black+Decker Reviva hand vac is a good quality hand vac at a great value!

Super simple hand vacuum

Very simple, easy to use hand vacuum. I figured it would be good quality, being a black and decker product. It's decent. It's compact and super simple to use but I don't really feel as much suction as I thought it would have. It feels like it's got decent suction when I press it against my palm of my hand, but when I put it against a small rug or the tile in the kitchen to pick up small cat food peices (the reason I got it lol ) it won't pick up all the crumbs unless I turn it a specific way and hold it at a certain angle against the floor and go back and forth over it several times. But for most of what I wanted it to pick up, I had no problems. There's a small bristle brush attachment that is literally attached to the end that you can flip on or off if you want to use it or not. It helps a lot to collect the hair but I feel like you sacrifice some of the power at the same time. It's the EXACT perfect size for my four yr old to use also, so he is able to help me clean up and he loves that he can be a good helper!! Win-win lol.
