Great Results- Somewhat Comparable to R+Co
I’ve used several different curl creams, but this one is the best for both the performance and price. Shea moisture curl smoothie is really moisturizing but quite heavy, and you can feel the build up the next day. The curl hold is just ok, and needs to be paired with a curl gel. It has a fair price point of about $12, and the product lasts for a long time. R+Co is lightweight, and the curls stay soft. Even the next day, or if you use an excess amount of product, the hair doesn’t feel heavy with buildup at all. However, it’s expensive- $34 for 5oz. Carol’s daughter is the worst brand I’ve ever tried, and I’ve tried several of their products. Their products are astringent, doing, and has no hold. Bevel is the best I’ve tried so far for the following reasons: 1. It holds the curl all day and adds a nice shine. 2. Lightweight- you don’t have to use a lot. 3. Price is the most inexpensive on the market, but one of the most effective. Bonus- the scent is nice too. The drawback is that depending how long or how much it sits in your hair, it may get dry and flaky. It’s also not water soluble, so you may experience product buildup. If you decide to try this, I recommend pairing it with regular scalp scrubs and take extra care to remove the old product from your hair. Hope this helps anyone who’s on their hair care journey.

Has a strong masculine scent. Does not leave your hair soft and manageable, too dry and stiff. Where's the moisture?

Nice product to provide curl definition to my daughter's hair. It helps to soften and provide moisture as well. It is a great value for the size, smell, functionality, purpose of curl definition and price.

It's made for men, but it's the best product I've found!
many people are saying that the scent is too masculine, and does have a heavier scent geared towards the dudes with curls...but here's the thing, I ordered it now realizing that it was a product that was made by a black man for black men (they also have a ladies line out, but I cannot locate any of their products as of yet). But here's the OTHER thing out of all the curl products that I have tried...and there are far too many for me to keep track, but I can assure you, it's a minimum of 20. And this product is the ONLY one that stood out for me. I have super thin hair, but it leans anywhere from curly to wavy depending on the day and conditions outside. This product helps me keep a more consistent daily look. It leaves my hair soft, but frizz free. If I add a bit of root lifting spray, I get even better results. Just add about a nickel sized gloop to your hands and rub together, distribute throughout the hair, and blow dry with a diffuser. Heavenly....
