it performed great for my surfcasting needs

My first foray into using a line other than mono. Although Fireline isn't a "true" braid being a fused line, it performed great for my surfcasting needs. 30lb Fireline with a 25lb fluorocarbon (Seaguar) leader proved to be perfect for my needs on Nantucket. Hooked into multiple blues (one even attached to a Grey seal!) and the setup worked beautifully. I highly recommend Fireline and will be continuing to use in the future. I also had no problems casting without any finger protection. I will probably use something in the future to be on the safe side...but I had no problems using nothing while fishing multiple times on this past trip. Great line...very impressed!

Not sure if this is a knock off or if I got a bad spool, but I've always used this line and I love it. After 2 times out fishing the line seems thicker, lost its color and I hate it. Thumbs down
