This is a HUGE spatula.

This is much larger than I expected. It needs to be oiled periodically to keep it looking as nice as it does in the pictures.

Love it!

Bought a new Stainless Steel pan & needed a wooden spatula, specifically one from an olive tree. Found it on Amazon. Used it & LOVE it!! Highly recommend!

Big bruiser

I was disappointed in this stick. It's just too heavy and clunky and has no balance. The handle is rather square and feels awkward. It's strong enough to make dough, but I don't use it for that because the blade is too squared off to work a bowl and it's too awkward to stir. If I choke up on it the end scrapes my wrist and if I hold it from the end it's too cumbersome to do a good job, and tiring too. Not a good tool. I plan on cutting it down with the band saw and trying to make it into a smaller, lighter, more useful kitchen tool. It doesn't totally suck. Deserves 2 stars. Just a big disappointment to have to do extra work to make something that might work better. Look somewhere else unless you want a club in your kitchen.

I use this spatula mostly when cooking eggs and it does a very good job. The wood is beautiful and a good weight. It feels very good in my hands. I did use some beeswax on it when it first arrived to enhance the luster of the wood. The actual spatula is just like the picture. I would recommend this product.

Clumsy if your of small stature or without much arm strength

I have the smaller version of this from the same company and it has been my go - to tool for quite a few years. When I got a 5 quart fryer I thought I would need a longer handle, which this does. But it is unbalanced in my hand and forces me to go just as close to the pan as my old one. Am getting rid of both the pan and this. Too many burns.

the best I've ever owned

I've purchased many wood spoons and spatulas over the years and the Berard Terra Collection is by far, the best I've ever owned. I also order Emmet's Elixir (smells wonderful & is a natural anti-microbial) to keep my wood cooking utensils well-oiled. If you're on the fence about this item or any of the Berard Terra collection, order it. You will not be disappointed.

Great Quality Highly Recommend

Works just like advertised. I love using a wood spatula when cooking, and this one is of great quality. I do add bees wax to it, ones in a while as I do with all my wood utensils. Not sure if it is necessary with this one as it has not shown any signs of splitting. Highly Recommend

After hand washing (as per instructions) the brand new utensils under the kitchen sink and drying them all overnight over counter top-the photos says how disappointed I am!! I took the picture of all the new utensils as soon I removed them from the delivery box and sent it to the friend who recommended and uses these utensils and has been happy with them!
