Great product

Soft for the baby but still firm enough to be safe. I have a hot-box of a baby and it doesn't make her sweat at night, which is wonderful. I would definitely recommend.

Wow - best mattress pad cover we've found! Adds a perfect layer of soft cushion!

I have a couple of mattress pad protectors, and this one from Beautyrest is by far the best one that we've even bought. Crib/toddler mattresses can be so plastic-feeling and this mattress pad protector adds a nice cushiony layer of material that really adds to the softness and comfort of the mattress. I was honestly amazed at how luxurious this made the mattress feel once we put it on. It has nice deep pockets, so it easily fit over our toddler mattress. The elastic sides are nice and stretchy and almost has a silky/satiny feel to them, while the top is cushiony and very soft to the touch. I probably wouldn't use this mattress pad cover with a newborn just because it is so soft and padded, but it's absolutely perfect for a toddler. There's no crackling sound like you get with other waterproof covers and it's definitely going to increase the comfort of your toddler's bed. I'm actually planning on getting one for my one year old as well, because she tends to sleep better on a softer surface but I still have her sleep overnight in her crib for safety reasons. I think this mattress pad cover would add just the right amount of softness to help her be more comfortable and sleep better at night.

Better than the basic

Crib mattress protectors are pretty essential to handle bed wetting and accidents quickly and simply. This is our 4th one and we have three crib age children so these mattress protectors are working hard. I would say this Beautyrest Kids Silver is a higher end mattress protector then most of the ones we have. It is puffier and more breathable in the outer layer. It obviously works and keeps more liquids away from the skin and all of it out of the mat. Easy to wash in the washer and dry. I would select a crib mattress protector mostly by the price if the quality is adequate. Even though the price point of this one at the time of the review is showing initial signs of diminishing returns, I still recommend it as slightly better than our average $15 protectors because of these qualities. A nice trick is to put two mattress protectors under a fitted sheet so if you are quickly changing bedsheets in the middle of the night you don’t have to get another bed protector but just a new fitted sheet.
