My wife loves this boot.. despite minor flaw

My wife LOVES how Ariat fit her feet. Getting these in a midsize is perfect for her, she is ecstatic. Her all time favorite shoes are an old pair of Ariats, gorgeous short western boots.. we bought two pair because we knew they might not have in years.. and glad we did. For these boots: When Ariat said waterproof they meant it. As happens with paddock boots, we stepped in some excrement, although of the canine variety. It dried, getting it out required a lot of water and scrubbing. Boots stayed dry inside. Down side- some of the grooves on bottom of shoe are pretty narrow, washing crud out was challenging. We ended up having to pick it out with toothpick to eliminate odor and wear indoors. Other issue: The inside has a slight flap of soft leather that tends to fold over when my wife puts these on, just about where the tongue attaches. This creates a pressure line, when she takes them off and removes socks you can see it. BUT.. she loves the fit otherwise, and the look, and refused to send back.

Beautiful, Sleek Look but Stiff

Sleek and professional look for work or casual outings but a bit stiff. I would add padding and/or apply conditioner to soften the leather of the shoes.

Perfect except...

Fit well except for the beginning of the tongue. It pinched the top of my feet and even with different socks it did not help. So disappointed! Fit is not the usual size.
