No idea if it works or not but keep trying

We have inherited a rather large pond from the previous owner and tried our best in the last year thanks to my OCDish skills (involving just about everything that depends on me) to improve the quality of our under a dozen very large koi carp fish and many gold fish who are very active as soon as the temperature is over 25 degrees Celsius (78 Fahrenheit?) even in early April 2023 when we had such temperatures in USA briefly. I purchased this item after reading the reviews here and following the instructions but I did not notice any major changes. We keep our pond running year round (as the previous owner did) and purchased a de-icer (used briefly only when the ice is thick in winter time) plus 2 extra Aquascape aerators (the initial 2 purchased here were problematic, just like the de-icer, so replaced with 2 new ones) besides the basic tube aerator she used in the last 2 decades. I noticed the water is clearer only in very cold weather as I saw the depth of 4 feet pond (maybe 5 towards the middle) briefly in winter time (when I was telling my fish 'I see you in the middle, you bugger'), but not ever since and despite using this product and the SAB cleaner when the weather is warm only, there are visible changes only towards the edges of the pond. We do not have algae as other people complain but with lots of trees around the pond, my OCDish skills are required as I clean the pump area every day (there is no skimmer) and thankfully all the leaves/flowers etc collect here in the net protecting the pump (which I plan to clean every 2 months as opposed to the heavy nasty bio-falls in one of the waterfalls cleaned twice per year due to being so heavy and 'just yuck'). I purchased a new tent net at a reduced price here to replace the flat net above the pond, yet to install it and besides the 2 things mentioned above I only throw food when the weather is warm as they run to us as if saying 'feed us, feed us' and make those funny noises of several dozens of fish open their mouth at the same time. Another option would be to use the services of a pond guy who effectively gets rid of the water to put new water with no beneficial bacteria but you cannot do that yearly: asking for several thousands of USD for a few hours of work or very un-professional like the guy I found in the end so dropped this idea. There is no point of uploading pics/videos here as they seem to delay my reviews by several weeks: maybe I am too honest with my autistic spectrum tendencies but I think I am doing pretty good at maintaining a pond and a garden despite having never done this in my life while living in the capital cities of the world. You can only try to help the wildlife and environment.

Good Stuff!

The bacteria works very well. I use it every 7 to 10 days in warm weather. Once it is applied, you can see the organic matter dissolve in just a few days. I have ordered this product several times over the past few years. It has never failed as long as it is used as directed regarding water temperature and dosage. I have a 6,000 gallon Koi Pond with 56 medium to full size Koi (15 to 30 inches long). I closely monitor water conditions and change water as needed to ensure proper ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, Ph, etc. levels are kept at all times. The only reason it is not rated 5 stars is sometimes the hand pump that comes with each bottle is not the best quality. I have kept some pumps from the past to use again for this very reason. The last 2 pumps worked perfectly and seem to be better quality than those a few years ago.

reliable product to remove brown from ponds

This product works fast (within two days) to remove the brown dirt that is kicked up when working in the pond. It does not claim and does not work to remove algae. I only use it when the pond is a brownish color from dirt blown in from wind and disturbance from potted plants with dirt and it has been reliable in the past. I no longer use dirt for my water plants, just pebbles and fragrance free kitty litter which leaves no dirt to discolor the water. My only unhappiness is that it does not work immediately or I'd give it a five star rating. It is more expensive than most products claiming to do the same but it does work for my pond when other products do not.

Amazon customer service is the BEST

2 of the aerator disks did not make as many bubbles as I would have wanted. I contacted Amazon via the app, and 2 minutes later I received a call from customer service. They overnighted me (Saturday delivery) a replacement at no charge. Having said that, the aerator works very well. I am very pleased to see all the bubbles in my pond. I think Aquascape is one of the better pond companies on the market. All their medications, food and pond maintenance items are superior. Rarely do you see a product where 1 pump of bacteria serves 500 gallons. 1 pump of water conditioner works per each 100 Gallo,s, instead of 1 capful per 20 gallons. Certainly more bang for your buck. The products last a long time. My pond "hobby" just got a little cheaper with these awesome products. Thumbs up to Aquascape !!!

Now We Have Water that Sparkles!

There was an improvement in the water quality in the reservoir of our pondless waterfall after the first treatment. VERY happy with the product!
