The brand I trust for my nice appliances
I have a kitchen area that hosts all my appliances; a mixer, a high end coffee grinder, microwave, toaster oven. Total it's about 1k of appliances, and the power strip it was plugged in was so old you couldn't tell if it's yellow because the plastic was originally ivory colored or because it was 20 years old. I work in IT and I don't skimp on power surge protectors; 15% of surges sneak right past your house level surge protection, and can kick in not only due to lightning strikes but minor changes in current, like nearby electricity use, appliances that kick on and off, etc. All you know is 3 years later your toaster stops working. Most of these cheap surge protectors on the market are glorified extension cables. I trust the brand, they haven't let me down so far.

Appears to be good quality
I cannot vouch for its Effectiveness because we did not have a significant power surge or outage since I purchased this. Hopefully it acts and responds is Good As It Seems

It works but not so sure about the EMI/RFI noise filtering claim
I only buy surge protectors that have EMI/RFI noise filtering. I have a sensitive short wave radio with a sleep timer that I use when going to sleep. It has a rechargeable battery so you can either use it plugged in or on battery power. I've always had static on the radio when it was plugged into this surge protector. Cords generally do cause interference in radios so I thought nothing of it. But it started to get really bad. So I took one of my old tripplite surge protectors with emi/rfi noise filtering and plugged the radio into that. No static or interference on the radio at all. I went to APC's website to see if this model has EMI/RFI and it looks like it does....but it sure doesn't work well on mine. I don't want to disparage APC. I have several of their surge protectors. Just bought the big P12U2 model they have and love that one. I think it just has better circuitry than this budget model. I'm using the P12U2 on my TCL 55" TV that was flickering and was glitchy turning on and off with a different surge protector from another company. Anyways, the ACP P12U2 works great and appears to have excellent noise filtering. Just wish the P12U2 had a flat plug because I bought it to use for my computer, but couldn't because I couldn't push my desk up against the wall with that straight out plug. Anyways, I've strayed. This is a good basic surge protector I suppose. Would not recommend it for sensitive electronics prone to interference. Then again, maybe I just had a bad one, who knows. APC is a great brand. All my surge protectors are either APC or TrippLite. Can't go wrong either way.

Attractive design+color, slender profile, excellent functionality, budget price (8 outlet model)
This is exactly what I wanted. (It’s even better - slimmer, easier to handle cord, than the Belkin in this design style.) Perfect fit for the lower shelf of my night table. To charge my phone, iPad, Bluetooth headset, and the like (plug my lamp into it as well, for convenience-sake not surge protection). The 8 outlets are perfectly spaced/placed. I briefly considered the model with the USB cord plugs directly into the unit, but for me, at this point, for this purpose the extra price didn’t seem worth-it. My USB charging adapters aren’t that bulky, and with this design they can be plugged side-by-side. I do like the convenience of that design, with the USB plugs, and will likely get it in the future, and move this one to either my home-office, or dressing area. So, this “basic” one wouldn’t be wasted. And meanwhile it’s a great budget option that sacrifices none of the design, style, or function. It’s attractive, useful, well conceived/designed and executed. For well under $20. Nice color too. Would be perfect anyplace. Though I’d think this more basic model isn’t intended for multiple multimedia devises all in one - looked like they had more suitable models for if you wanted to say plug in your TV, your game console, your streaming and/or cable - do they still call it that? - box/devise, your speakers with or without subwoofer, along with your modem and WiFi-router all into one. Someone, who works with high end electronics and/or an electrician/engineer correct me if I’m wrong. But I’d get a model - of this same device if there’s one of suitable capacity - which that’s meant to handle such a load for my entertainment center. I think another reviewer talked about joules and capacity, I think it was for this model. Or at least this manufacturer. Though I don’t see it being convenient for travel - not sure about that question there, maybe more convenient than some other styles; certainly not anywhere that’s not 120V, and I doubt that at this level it’s sufficient protection for anywhere with radically irregular electrical/voltage supply, not just the occasional spike, like say - Malawi Africa for a random example out of personal experience, for something like that you’d actually have to spend money and get a proper UPC, not to mention bulky-bulky, but that’s not relevant here, for this, just this isn’t something like that. This is for use with stable electrical and voltage supply, should give perfectly adequate protection for the occasional spikes and surges such as those following a power outage, within the design specification.

Good purchase
After endless research and not finding any option that had reassuring reviews I finally asked our family IT expert to help me pick a decent option. We are setting up a home office and needed a surge protector for the printer etc as we have seasonal power outages here. This one feels pretty sturdy as surge protectors go. It has a nice look to it. I like the option of having USB ports in it, so a charging cord can be plugged in and ready to go for a device. We've only had it a month so I can't speak to longevity but so far so good!

One of the best, but not perfect
There is no doubt that this outlet is high-quality - one of the better ones I've seen by a long shot. I specifically went with this model because the two USB ports means I can eliminate two charging adapters from my power bar and give it a cleaner look. The placement of the outlets is also great and large adapters (up to three) do not interfere with the other outlets, which has consistently been a problem for the power bars I've used at home. The lifetime warranty and insurance on connected equipment gave me the assurance that this will be a product I'll be using for a very long time. The ON/OFF switch, along with the two safety light indicators are a great touch. While this power bar has performed well, I find that some devices don't like the USB ports and do better if plugged into a USB adapter. My Shure Bluetooth headphones, for example, won't even charge from those ports, but other devices including my phone and Sony Bluetooth headphones have no trouble. This may be a quirk with certain devices, but it defeats the original purpose of replacing power adapters. Still, overall, this is a wonderful product. If you do not NEED the USB ports, I suggest going with the outlets only version and save about 50%(!).

Great power strip surge protector
Nice product, feels like quality material. Matte black finish, 8 sockets. There are two "rows" of sockets, one row with 5 and the other has 3 each with space on all sides, allowing for larger things to plug in. Really helpful as I can use my smart plugs with it no problem. Also nice to have LED indicators and an On/Off switch. In my experience APC products are quite good, I own a few others things from them. Conclusion buy this product, greats looks, quality build, and the peace of mind of having a surge protector of course.

Makes all other power-bars look cheap
After upgrading my home theatre system recently I thought investing in a good surge protector would be a good plan and worth the money considering the thousands of dollars that it protects. The APC brand is the one everyone I spoke to and read about recommends so I decided on this one because it has the amount of plugs I need and covers around double the amount of Joules my system uses (apparently thats what you're supposed to look for). The one up from this one doubles the joules and has USB ports if thats what you need. You can just tell though that the material quality is leaps and bounds better than anything else out there and I really appreciate the spacing provided for the plugs so you can actually utilize all of them. Though I can't know for sure, all told I feel confident it will do its job if its ever needed.

The photo is misleading
I purchased this as I wanted a compact solution for a guitar pedalboard. Now, I admit I did not read the description and translate the measurements accurately enough. Nevertheless, the photo imprinted an image so that my perspective impacted my expectation. When the power block arrived I was very disappointed. The power bar was twice as thick as I had anticipated. That "detail" is obscured by the photograph posted. The bottom half of the power bar case is white and does not show up in the posted picture. I am certain the power bar works fine and seems robust enough to last for years so I am not commenting on the build quality. It is unfortunate that the image was (inadvertently I'm certain) misleading.

Perfect for my requirements
Needed a reasonable size power strip behind my tv for all my "toys", Xbox, apple TV, Cams etc... Why I am gave this 5 stars.. 1. Trust - Never had an issue with APC. 2. Lean clean design - Not bulky 3. Accommodates bulky plugs (3 outlets dedicated to those bulky, fat plugs) 4. 2 USB outlets (USB-C would be a nice touch, maybe on the next release) 5. Plug it it in, plug in my toys and forget about it...
