If it was made of brass, I'd give 5*
Bought a few of these to replace the sample latches, the cheaper sqhare 'antique hardware' square chrome finish latches. More on those below. Now I am purchasing one more. These are well made, I mean very precision made. They look small because they are small. Still, the knob is just big enough to feel right to the touch when repeatedly opening a cabinet. The nickel finish could be a bit buffed to look better, less glitzy, and match my drawer pulls. A high polish is unusual in cabinet pulls. I like the overall design, slightly curved. One negative is the base metal is zink, so I expect a problem with longevity. Brass would last, but I see these days brass prices are really high, so there's the price to consider. Now what did I replace? The Antique Hardware look pictured at Amazon and anywhere online shows only one angle of the latch, and the design of the knob looks nicely rounded. Yes it is, but it is flat metal, hurts the fingers to turn it! So i gave up and ordered these.

Quality Latch
They do what they're supposed to do: latch the door fronts on my cabinets. Figured I'd match the style of the original cabinets in an early 20th century house and they come close - though the original Stanley Works latches were not rounded like these. Purchased these along with the following and they match well. -Amerock BP53010-ORB Allison Value Hardware 3-Inch Center-to-Center Pull, 15 Pack -Deltana CH2015U10B Solid Brass 2-Inch x 1-1/2-Inch Cabinet Hinge with Ball Tips

Good quality for the right project
Seemed like a good quality latch, nice looking, pretty heavy and seems well made. Ended up not working for our purpose (a small custom wood door over our dog door) as there was too much space between the door and the frame and the two sides of the latch have to fit tight together; this would be better on something like a cabinet door or a box, where the two sides are very close fitting.

Great quality, but could stand some factory lubrication
Nice quality! Unlike the piece of junk I bought at the local hardware store, this one has a substantial metal striker tab that promises to hold securely. I did find it necessary to open it up and grease the mechanism to get it to work smoothly, but this was easy since the back was held on with a standard phillips-head screw. Seems to be working well now and ready for the install.

Love this latch!
I have a pantry door that I wanted to add a latch to because the door would not close completely. My husband was a bit skeptical not thinking it would work. To his surprise not only does the latch work to keep the door closed but it looks beautiful while doing it. It was easy to install. I have had it on for about six months and it works perfectly. When I first installed the latch it stuck a bit but I added a little oil and now it works like a perfectly.

They could do better
I was a little disappointed in the quality of this latch it works OK but the mechanism squeaks a little when you turn it just doesn’t feel very smooth

Good product needing a tweak
It is doing the job of helping my cupboard door closed. A quick fix and matches the other hardware. I used my own wood screws as the ones provided had superficial depth and I thought all the activity needed more.
