felt like it wasnt going to do the job, i was wrong its great
Well i bought this so i can have an affordable puffer jacket i can abuse and not feel bad about. used it for everything and anything that involved being cold outside. Not wanting to risk expensive jacket incase i ruin it or hate it i purchased this one but so far it has withstood the abuse. i am pleased with the purchase and i recommend it if your in the market for this item and price is an issue . i have used it for concerts ,camping ,late night shopping trips ,taking out the trash at 4 am also just for the random day hikes . things i like it packs really small and is very light it also comes with its own drawstring bag that seams to match the color you purchased , i think anyhow because i have purchased 4 different colors (Christmas presents for family members ) and all come this way. Also this thing does very well in windy conditions it seams to have a very thin feel for a puffer jacket but the small amount of insulations paired with the inner and outer shell of jacket material reminds me of safety blankets ability to reflect body heat back to you this feature for staying warm is doing great for lack of "poof". i took this to a outdoor concert in LA (besame mucho) and it was very cold and windy because of concert rules only small see through bags were allowed so i brought this jacket in its drawstring bag and took a very small amount of space and was perfect for the situation kept me warm through the whole night night. had very large outside pockets with zipper closures and very deep inside pocket behind the outside zip up ones, they seam to share the space keep this in mind when placing bulky items one side will use space from the other even thought they are separate a pocket . the hoody does not have draw strings but i dont feel needs them i think we have gotten use to everything needing drawstrings, it is a bit spacious inside the hood i guess if you have a beanie or a baseball style cap it should fit fine and extends just before the bill of cap. i just hated that they tried to ship it in no box just a clear see through bag the first time had to return arrived damaged. In new condition its durability is uncertain until this point it has held up (2months), not sure yet the feel is not the toughest it has a thin feel but notably i have not torn it and it has at least been through the wash once keep in mind i airdried all this said it looks brand new and is in great shape , i would whole heartedly recommend this jacket just look for the deals also get the vest for an added layer of warmth

Really nice for the price, but not perfect
I like this jacket for two reasons; 1) it is inexpensive and 2) it does several things well. But it is not perfect and I'll get to that. Inexpensive - I bring this jacket with me because I'm not worried about losing an expensive jacket. Also, it is difficult when an expensive jacket gets ember burns from a camp fire. In short, at this price-point this jacket is expendable. This jacket does well on its own - down to the sub 50 degree range. Pair it with a good outer shell and the two jackets can keep you warm into the upper 30's. In fact, this is where this jacket shines - as an inner-layer of a two or three part layering system...just make certain the outer shell has its own hoodie. Now for the shortcomings. 1) The hood does not have a drawstring or any type of synching system, so you can't draw it tight. Also, I find the hood to be a little too large. I guess if you are wearing a hat underneath (or have Big Hair) that can be a good thing. 2) The zipper. Oh that cheap zipper! This is the jacket's Achilles heel. Not windproof. And worse of all, if you are not careful, you can miss getting the "Insertion Pin" properly seated into the "Starter Box" (see photo) and the teeth can become mis-aligned....and the next thing you know you are trying to fix a derailed zipper. This has happened to me several times (I must be a slow learner). Would I buy this jacket again? Absolutely, but I'd probably buy a Tall Large rather than an XL - because the Tall Large might fit better inside another outer-shell jacket (like a windbreaker) as part of a dual-jacket layering system.

Fits as advertised.
We were taking a April trip to the Guadalupe Mts. in New Mexico and needed something light but warm for the summit. The jacket worked well and was comfortable. Was light weight enough to pack into my backpack until I needed it.

Good value a bit lightweight
Not as warm as I'd prefer, but expected that from the reviews. I got it for backpacking and air travel, so the ability to stuff it into something was important. When it's going to be cold I normally pair with a SmartWool quarter zip to get extra warmth from layering.

Great packable jacket
Perfect jacket for an Alaskan cruise. My husband couldn’t believe it would pack into the small bag but it does. Ordered a jacket for both of us but the sleeves were long on me so I plan to shorten them.

Quality vs. price
Took this jacket on a 3 WK trip to Europe was pleasantly surprised by it's quality. Keep me dry during rain down pours in Paris. And keep me warm in the mountains of Switzerland. Well worth the purchase.

Great Jacket!
I was skeptical at first because this puffer jacket is a bit thin for being called a "puffer" jacket. I tested it out in a windy 40 degree weather by just wearing a t-shirt inside of the jacket and it kept me fairly warm. I guess it's good that it's kinda thin so it doesn't feel too bulky on you and you don't look like the Michelin man. I'm 5'5" athletic/bodybuilder type body and the Medium fit is good for me. A size small will probably fit better lengthwise but my guess is that the shoulder and chest area would be too tight for me.

Very comfortable
This is a very lightweight yet effective jacket. Keeps you warm. It has two large pockets closed with zips (no chest pocket or inner pockets). The hood does not have a zip code to tighten around the face. The main zip slider is strangely on the left. It slides easily. But this is a very comfortable jacket. Well worth the price. I ordered one size larger as my arms are longer than what it should be. So it fits slightly loose on the chest. Overall I like the jacket. Would recommend to others.

Lightweight packable puffer
Got this cheap in the sale mainly as an emergency extra layer to put in my rucksack but it looks quite decent and I might use it quite a bit as a casual pop into town jacket. Its not very thick so I imagine not particularly warm compared with some but then it stuffs down into its little bag and is quite lightweight. I got a medium as normal and it was a nice fit with still enough room to have a jumper underneath. I am very short so it reaches to the top of the leg keeping my seating area warm yet the sleeves aren't overly long. The two side pockets can be used just to keep your hands out of the wind but are quite large and zip fastened if you want to put something in them (hat and gloves or phone). I don't expect it will be very waterproof but my idea is that if the weather turns bad when walking I can slip this under my waterproof for extra warmth without getting soaked in the process. Only down side is the zip fastens the opposite way round to expected i.e. the slider is on the right hand side.

Nice but baggy
Nice jacket. Smooth, soft, warm, comfy. I'm a 41" chest and it fits nicely around my shoulders chest and arms, but it's pretty baggy around the stomach. As there's no elastic at the bottom it's pretty loose. Will likely see if a tailor can put some elastic in it or something. Probably better off waiting to see if Trespass have anything in the Christmas sales to be honest.

Good value for money
100% Good value for money Quality is better than what I paid. Only one suggestion or downside, this is not adjustable, they could easily make this adjustable but still deserves 5 star Reduced 5 to 4 stares for the following reasons: 1) Zipper is apposite side (this is not related to cost ) 2) Tested on moderate chilli wind and it doesn't stand. (I understand it is a lightweight but I expect it holds for moderate cold weather )

Good jacket for speed and price
I needed a jacket quickly, my son was going away and his puffer is missing This jacket is very thin, light weight, comes with a little bag to pack down into. This will be good for layering. It's thin, probably not the warmest, but great for under a waterproof for when we needed it i am pleased.
