While this bag may be for golf, it turn out it's also a really great bag to use for an airplane carry-on. It's the perfect size, it's made to be handled roughly (tossed in golf carts and car trunks, dropped on the ground, frequently exposed to outdoor weather, frequent use, etc.), big enough to hold what you'd usually pack in a carry-on (change of clothing, couple days of medications, laptop or tablet, book, wallet, etc.), and it's easy to carry. The carry strap is big enough so you can wear it across your chest, and the handles are padded and big enough to comfortably be worn on your arm. The bag has five plastic feet on the bottom, so you can to set it down on the floor in the airport with minimal points of contact. No more getting grossed out when you have to set down your bag on the bathroom floor! Being made from PVC means this bag is also easy to disinfect. A quick wipe-down with an alcohol or Lysol wipe and you're good to go. The outside pockets can be a bit of a tight squeeze if the bag is stuffed full, so if you want to use them to store your phone, ID, and ticket, make sure you can easily access those items after you pack this bag so you don't have to empty it out at the TSA checkpoint in order to grab those items. Should you need to check this bag, the blocky color scheme makes it easier to spot on in baggage claim against all those other solid black, blue, and grey suitcases. The bottom of this bag has a compartment which you can stash dirty golf (or other) shoes. It doesn't look all that big based on the zipper, like it would fit a pair of shoes. The zipper opens up an internal bag rather than a fixed compartment, so most shoes will fit. My husband wears a size 13, and only his slide slippers will fit with some serious finagling. His sneakers or hiking boots? Nope. Even my sneakers were a tight fit (but I wear a size 11). Slippers, flats, loafers, and the like seem to fit the best. If used for luggage, this is a perfect pocket for reading material or coloring supplies for kids. Aside from being great for golf or as a carry-on, this bag is also a perfect option for several uses because it is so heavy duty and big. Weekend trips, a child's travel bag, a hospital bag if you have to be admitted for a couple of days, diaper bag that doesn't scream diaper bag, tote for pet supplies when your pet goes on a trip with you, or a durable bag to hold your car's emergency supplies like jumper cables, flares, med kit, etc. There's not enough protective padding or division inside of the bag to make it a good option for a dedicated laptop bag, though it is stout enough to lug around those super chonky college textbooks.
