A list of issues to know before purchasing

We're travelling for an extended period with our LO and so purchased this bassinet. We also own the pack and play which we love but the similarities stop there. We own the Snoo and I'll just start here by saying it 100% worth the money and definitely our preference. Please excuse any brevities or typos I'm a FTM typing this while my LO sleeps. After one month of use, the mamaroo bassinet squeaks, malfunctions, glitches both manually and on the app. I'm also so disappointed to see that the sheet that comes with this doesn't attach to the Velcro?? I picked up baby girl this morning and the sides of the mattress were completely lifting which is insane and almost exposed her to the hardware underneath. I only know this because the other sheets I purchased have the Velcro strip which attaches safely to the base and keeps the mattress in place. If your baby moves like mine (which pretty much every swaddled baby does) then you May end up having to retire the sheet that comes with the bassinet. Please note that she only lightly wriggled for about 2 minutes max until I went to pick her up and noticed that. That's the reason I'm writing this, but back to the glitches. Don't even try and increase or decrease levels. The touch pad on the device glitches constantly all over - even the on and off button. Just this morning I "fought" with it while trying to soothe baby girl, which makes maybe time #20th and we only use it at nights. I have to constantly restart the app to get it to apply any of my settings. The app I can understand, but when the device itself doesn't respond, that's very unfortunate. I would advice if you still go ahead and purchase this that you should try and turn it on first before putting your baby in. That initial start jolt is enough to (and has) wake up them up after even a nice and elaborate wind down routine. We have to try and hover and time it to place her down gently. Also note that it shuts off after 4 hours and there's nothing you can do save and except to turn it off and on (if the app even responds) to restart those 4 hours. I understand why the feature exists but I do not like that I don't get a choice. It gets 3 stars because it is safe at the end of the day, a compact enough size and I like that the sides are mesh so I'm never afraid that if she rolls to the sides that anything will happen. It also means I can stay from the bed and see if she's stirring. Since we haven't tried and gotten a new bassinet it's obviously still satisfying our base needs for now but for the price the list of issues is very disappointing.

Life Saver!

This was definitely a late night desperation purchase. Our newborn has colic and would not sleep on any flat surface, only my wife and my arms. We would then both stay awake all night so we wouldn’t risk the baby’s safety. We have had the bassinet for over three weeks now and she sleeps in it 4-6 hours during the day and a few hours at night. The shush sound and car ride settings are her favorite. This bassinet won’t soothe our newborn to sleep but if we put her in carefully while asleep, it keeps her asleep for hours. My wife and I can finally get some much needed rest. I definitely recommend this bassinet for any new parents searching for a solution for a fussy newborn.

Lots of little problems

I am a first time mom and did loads of research on bassinets. I borrowed a snoo from a friend for the first couple of months and it was a really great product, however I would never consider spending so much on something you only use for a few months. Even renting it seems insanely over priced. We gave the snoo back to our friends and decided to purchase the 4moms bassinet. The first couple of weeks with the bassinet I couldn’t believe it is not the obvious choice over the snoo. It’s smart, has different motion settings and sound settings, similar to the snoo. I actually prefer that it does automatically speed up like the snoo does, because I am worried the transition to the crib is going to be difficult. The feature I miss the most about the snoo is actually that the swaddle is built in and you do not have to worry about your little one rolling over. In this bassinet we find her lodged in different corners on occasion as she’s gaining mobility. After a couple of weeks of use, we keep noticing weird glitches. For example, occasionally you have to firmly press the power button and motion controls several times for it to actually work. I’m waiting for the day these do not work at all. The internal control board also starting squeaking and so the bassinet continuously squeaks throughout the night waking my baby (and myself and my partner). I have watched a few YouTube videos on how to stop the squeaking, but it seems more complicated than I have time to deal with, while also trying to figure out how to take care of my first baby! Maybe we should have just chosen something more simple and gone with the Halo bassinet…

Game Changer

This was a game changer!!! My newborn would wake up every time I put her down so I was getting zero sleep. We tried everything….and our last resort was the MamaRoo. I honestly wish it would’ve been my first thought because my LO hasn’t slept better!! She goes to sleep right after putting her down and stays asleep for hours. When she starts moving around and getting restless at night I use the “Shh” sound and it lulls her back to sleep. The only con is the lights on the little dashboard stay lit but I just cover it with a towel at night, and the app is bright white and I wish it had an option for night view or something because it’s very bright in a dark room when I open it to add time to the timer throughout the night. That’s also just a minor con and something to note, but honestly as a new mom this saved my sanity, it’s THAT good. I highly recommend it.

Excellent quality! Excellent price!

My baby absolutely adores his bassinet. Putting him to sleep is so easy thanks to the rocking motion and built in sound machine. This product is an excellent buy if your looking to make having a baby slightly easier.

Squeaks and clicks

We wanted to like this so badly. Our first one started making a really loud metal on metal scratching sound that was rather unpleasant. We exchanged for another and this developed a loud click/clanking sound on the second day. It’s such a pain to package and return so we’re just using it to help our baby get to sleep then turning it off. Really frustrating.

Excellent product - the baby likes it

Baby loved it. She sleeps better now at 1 month sometimes 3-4 hrs at a time. Comes with white noise too. I do recommend it.

CUNA PADRISIMA

Padrisima cuna, no es compatible con mi teléfono Samsung pero la verdad solo lo prendemos al inicio, mi única preocupación es que si se descompone a donde la puedo llevar a arreglar o a servicio. Super recomenda.
