Classic Corded Ear Plugs

Classic design ear plugs are the best for comfort and noise cancellation. I use them for sleeping every night and they are perfect. When I use my noisy yard tools I always have these ear plugs in. Use no other types.

The best ear plugs for small ear holes

I’ve been using these since I was a kid and they are great. I saw another poster mention they thought 3m had changed the foam, but that hasn’t been my experience. These are just like the very first ones I used 20 years ago. These are the only ear plugs I can wear for 12+ hours with no discomfort. They’re technically single use, but I get a few uses out of the ones I wear around the house. In my experience, they get dirty before the foam stops working. I used them for many years in a loud work setting and yearly hearing tests proved they work for hearing protection. I prefer the individually wrapped ear plugs because they last a long time in storage. And a box lasts me a long time. I found some in a flight bag from 15 years ago and they were just like new. The same 3m ear plugs that come loose in the envelope or loose in the box can kind of dry out over time and they don’t squish as easily. The texture definitely changes when they’ve been exposed to air for a long time. I think those are better for work environments where the boxes are being replaced quickly. Definitely not for the average at-home user.

No More Sore Ears

I need ear plugs to sleep. I don't need total silence, but I like ear plugs that make everything "muffled" and quiet. I've tried countless earplugs but so many leave my ears feeling incredibly sore after just a couple hours, making it very difficult to sleep. After much research, I took a chance on these earplugs and I've finally found the ones that work perfectly for me throughout the entire night. I can sleep with these earplugs for many hours with no soreness in my ears. Please note these ear plugs do not block ALL noise. I can still hear noise through the plugs and if someone is talking loud enough, I can understand them. Otherwise they do a great job of reducing noise overall and help me fall asleep. On a final note, I love that these come in individual plastic wrappers. It helps keep them clean but also prevents early deterioration of the plugs themselves. I can use one set of plugs for about a week before I replace them with a new pair. If you've suffered with sore ears from other plugs, I recommend giving these ones a try!

Excellent for my needs

I recently had an MRI and these were the earplugs provided. I was impressed at the comfort and the noise suppression. I found that I could buy a large quantity on Amazon. Both my wife and I use earplugs to help us sleep for quiet. These are very effective and they fit snugly and yet do not press so hard on the ear channel to be uncomfortable. When we finish this order, we will be reordering.

Two hundred pairs of individually packaged earplugs. Not the most environmentally friendly purchase but I have used these nearly every night for 18 years to sleep as well as to block out noise while studying or working. The individual packaging makes it convenient to pop these in a purse or pocket so I have a pair available at all times. I've used other pairs that were in small paper packages that inevitably opened leaving the ear plugs dirty and squished. These plastic sleeves open only rarely and only after many months of riding around in my purse or backpack. They are on the thicker side as far as earplugs go, but that means that they block the ambient noises much better than the smaller smoother T shaped earplugs. Do they block out the noise 100%? No. But if I'm quietly taking a test then it will block out all the breathing and muttering around me. If I'm working and there are people chatting around me, it dulls the voices to about 20-30% which does allow me to generally hear if people speak directly to me (though they typically have to jostle me to get my attention first). There is a softer finished end and a slightly more leathery finished end with cushioning in the middle. When I use these earplugs I roll the softer end into a point and put it directly in my ear canal. The foam expands and blocks the noises. I have friends who place these earplugs perpendicular to their ear canal and complain that they don't block the noise fully. Don't be afraid to put these in your ear canal - they won't be able to go in far enough to hit your eardrum/cause damage.

Saving a Marriage

I have worn 3M Earplugs for more than 40 years. I purchased them originally to buffer the sound of my husband's snoring. They really helped. Now I am so used to them, I can't even sleep without them. They buffer all the little noises that keep you awake in the night. When I recommend them to others, they refuse to try them, saying they couldn't sleep with earplugs. However, one of my friends was desperate for a reprieve from her husband's snoring and was receptive to my offer. Now she is an avid supporter of this product. Over the years, I have at times, been unable to purchase the 3M Earplugs and have had to purchase another product. Nothing compares. This is the best. I hope 3M continues to make these earplugs because I'm still married.

These work for me

Earplug satisfaction seem to have a lot of personal preference involved. I am a small female, but apparently have big ear canals :) Tapers don't work for me. Although these are a little long, I can trim them if need be. I hate that they are individually packaged as I feel bad enough about throwing away all the foam that I do. These are pretty good, though my favourite are Flents cylinder Quiet Please, but a lot more money.

The Only Earplugs Husband Can Use

Best disposable ear plugs out there I think. They feel like a very dense sponge. I know lots of people who like these earplugs, most people are hesitant to try them I think because they look big and uncomfortable (not rounded at the end) but they are incredibly comfortable. Many foam earplugs have a waxy coating on them, and whatever it is I think my husband is allergic to it because his ears get sore, bleed, and scab from every other earplug he's used. These were provided at his old job but the place he's at now doesn't have this type, AND the store that used to sell them locally has shut down. Very thankful Amazon carries these.

Great!

I purchased a box of 200 around 2 years ago and it still has plenty left. I use them for sleeping and find they are perfect. I've tried many kinds and have found these to be the most comfortable. They don't stick out too far or get in the way, and they're not a bullet tip so you don't need to get them deep into the ear to be effective (which yes I realize isn't the best fit for true hearing protection, however it can let a tiny bit of sound through for sleeping/safety). If you properly fit them they are good for hearing protection too, however I haven’t tested them enough in that sense to comment. I do re-use them, which may not be the most hygienic, but a pair can last at least a week in terms of the foam maintaining density. Just make the judgment call on the cleanliness factor. Will definitely buy again.

Super Ear Plugs

I have been using these ear plugs exclusively for 15 years. They are soft so are easy to insert, they keep the sounds out and stay in all night. I use them nightly and have never had any ear problems, They are a good price and arrive quickly. Try them out you won't regret it when that neighbourhood doggy starts barking again at 3 in the morning,
